I had a vision. Modern AU. Halloween. Jayce and Viktor dressed as Thor snd Loki respectively.

I get if you don't like Thor/Loki as a ship BUT their personalities work so well 😭 Jayce as the sunshine boy/golden retriever, Viktor as the more subdued, misunderstood, magical beauty.

I see a lot of Pride & Prejudice au for Jayvik, and they are lovely, of course, cant help but love them. But, how about an Emma x Jayvik or a Persuasion one?

I am still cooking up the details but I feel like they could work out nicely.

more about rival professors!jayvik because i can't get it out of my brain:

viktor is now the youngest professor to join the staff at piltover's finest academy.

this makes jayce a little miffed before he even meets viktor because it was /him/ that held that title previously, and he doesnt like being upstaged.

jayce spends the entire day before the new professor's arrival sulking and thinking of what this prodigal "viktor" is probably like.

he knows that viktor is from zaun. he thinks that either viktor must have sucked up to one of the schmoozy councilors, or he's just a charity case. he can't be THAT smart, surely can't be smarter than jayce.

he looks forward to giving him a hard time, but when the next day comes and he is introduced to viktor, he sees a somewhat shy but confident figure who is clearly brilliant and as eager to learn as he is to teach.

every time jayce tries to test his knowledge on a subject, he responds gracefully and seems genuinely excited to exchange banter and ideas.

this pisses jayce off, because try as he might he finds it difficult to truly dislike viktor. he doesn't want to like the man that has cast a shadow upon him by being the youngest to ever teach at their university.

jayce tries to hide his annoyance and he thinks he must be pretty good at it because viktor is always supportive and seems happy to spend time with him.

the two end up exchanging ideas about research frequently over coffee, and before he realizes it they are begrudgingly friends. jayce explains to viktor a new project hes been working on, something that he thinks will put the spotlight back on him. but more importantly, it would be groundbreaking and change the way people think about magic.

viktor seems fascinated and spends a lot of time theorizing with him. he even offers to help him procure things from the undercity for his experiment.

jayce takes him up on it after viktor laughs at him when he voices his concerns about viktor going "down there."

jayce's laboratory gets broken into, and his position as a professor is jeopardized when the explosion reveals the dangers of his work.

for some reason he is almost expecting viktor to lord it over him, now that he's the only one with a position at the university between the two of them--

but viktor doesn't hesitate to break into the dean's room and steal back the materials for the experiment, even at the risk of losing his own job.

when the enforcers come banging and jayce's hands shake from the nerves, it's viktor who takes over with steady, purposeful hands, reassures him with a quick smile.

when they can hardly breathe from the relief and the euphoria of floating, it's jayce who realizes that he's in love.

Full Metal Alchemist Jayvik au anyone?

There is so many ways to make it work. Lots of angsty & drama filled storylines to consider but honestly...

...i just really want to see Viktor doing cool alchemist shit, Edward Elric style.
