It is in late summer when an otherwise ordinary evening takes a turn, and the Knight Bus is summoned to a long-forgotten estate in Wiltshire. Someone called Scorpius Malfoy boards, and Albus can't help but feel a connection with him. Their lives, which had ran parallel for so long, have finally converged, and Albus is desperate to prolong the journey. But by the time Albus realizes that he's fallen for Scorpius, the Knight Bus has reached its last stop.

This is a hyperspecific headcanon that I think only a certain crowd will enjoy, but I personally really like the idea of either post-disinheritance or post-Astoria getting really sick, Draco took a cooking class because he wanted to learn how to cook for himself (or his family if later on). I also thought it would be fun for him to go on and do extra training in like a Commercial Cookery Course, or whatever the qualification is called in England, and he just ended up having the skills of like a really high brow chef. Either by choice when he was freshly twenty because he enjoyed the course or on accident when he was middle-aged because it was the stuff he was used to as a kid.

And then he'd just like, have this qualification and experience (to complete even lower level Hospitality course you need a certain amount of workplace experience) that he just uses to cook for his family. He's like not even all that aware that he's somehow ended up with a gourmet level of skill until Albus or something stays over and has his cooking. And it probably confuses the fuck out of everyone because they did not pin Draco Malfoy of all people as a master chef. Especially since he only started figuring it out as an adult.

I also like to imagine this means Scorpius kept hearing people talk about how amazing the Hogwarts Feast was, and when he tried it he was like "wow ... it's fine, I guess," and everyone thought he was just being stuck up about having some private chef or something but no, it's just his fucking dad. Because Draco and Astoria probably remembered being amazed by the feast, but that was before Draco had the skills he had. So like, Scorpius is just like "really? This?"

I just think it's really fun. Do I think it would happen in canon? No, probably not. That doesn't mean it's not entertaining to think about.
