Jay had never felt this way before, and she hated it.

This new longing deep in her chest, this mix of despair and euphoria flooded her senses. He occupied all of her thoughts. She couldn’t focus on anything while he was near; all she could think about was the feel of running her hands through his hair, the possibility of his lips on hers, the warm scent of his skin.

What hurt the most was knowing that he was too good for her.

She was worthless, unloveable. No person should be willing to waste their time on someone as hopeless as her.

All she did was hurt those around her.

She told herself to stop being so stupid, to stop hoping that he would return her feelings because no one in their right mind would want to get close to her. She was a disappointment to everyone around her. She could never make her parents happy, she didn’t have the capability to help her friends...and she would always ruin everything.

Someone like Jake wouldn’t even look at her twice, because Jay knew he deserved someone better.

Her heart finally told her to stop wasting time, to stop thinking about him cause it would only hurt the both of them. At least she’s keep his eyes in her life.
