Oswen & Jazyra
omggg I remember pondering this ages and ages ago
Jazyra is probably someone that Oswen would have gotten along with really well at the start, when he was still struggling like crazy to adjust to culture clash and hadn’t decided so firmly to rework his brain to fit into it. He’d be drawn to what’s more familiar, and lighthearted, joke-cracking, alcohol-drinking people would be much closer to that than serene, more orthodox Jedi.
That said, as time goes on he gets harder and harder on himself and, as an extension, on people who don’t match the Traditional Jedi image as much as he’d like to. He has a lot of projection issues, and the fact that he struggles with staying within the rules and trying to think like a Jedi, he’s quick to get grumpy when he feels others aren’t trying. But she gets the job done and probably remains more accessible to him than most other Jedi, but there would be much hand-wringing about the possibility the Dark Side might pounce on her whenever she pushes her boundaries.
Also he probably wants to insist on physical combat training!! The Force isn’t good enough!! Here do some hand-to-hand sparring you never know when you might need it!!
