Day 1 of total Jazz immersion
So this year I decided to take a class called The Culture of Jazz. Our instructor was pretty adamant that we should be listening to certain tracks ALL the time to build up our exposure to the style because it'll make life easier for assignments and tests and what have you. So our first "assignment" is to listen to disc 1 and 2 of the Ken Burns' Jazz: Songs of America by next week.
I, of course, plan on throwing myself into the course because...jazz! and I really want to get a good basis of knowledge about it before my and bestie hit up the New Orleans Jazz Festival (in the near future)
So now, I'm listening to jazz as I clean the kitchen for my mom and I feel like a total housewife. I may need to put on a cute dress and a string of pearls.
