thinking of the Jazz Showcase closing down, I feel the same way I felt when the Fireside Bowl stopped having all ages shows. totally different scenes, true - but the same kinds of memories, and so many tall tales, and so much energy and passion. and they're not that different, jazz and punk, when you think about it. . .
