Can’t get these two out of my head

I imagine that Outset immediately take Skyloft under his wing. Sure he’s kinda using him as an excuse to go on an adventure, but helping people is what heros do , and outset is a hero after all

Skyloft -

It’s been just over a year since the defeat of demise and Link still isn’t quite over it. But it’s hard to try and settle back into normalcy when your normalcy is being pulled from under you by people who think their helping.

With new expectations and responsibilities being pushed onto him , along with the move to the surface is going too fast for his liking. He feels more drained than usual. It all might be taking a toll on him if these weird nightmares were anything to go by. But they feel far too vivid for them to be normal.

But with Zelda pulling away from him to focus on her surface project ( to avoid her own problems ) he feels like he has no one to turn to.

Until he wakes up in the great sea , and saved by Outset , an older more experienced hero in the distant future.

Who acts like he has his shit together , and he has some of it together at least.

Together they’re forced to figure out what’s happening with the time line and meet other links along the way ( or something ??? )

Zelda hasn’t been doing great since the events that led up to the defeat of demise. But she would rather die than admit that. She’s riddled with anxiety and self doubt her status as the goddess reborn and the future of her and her loved ones.

So instead of dealing with those emotions she throws herself into the surface settlement project. And trying to get Links mind off what ever he’s worried about so they can both start a new on the surface. It’ll be like before eveything change , only better , right ?

But when her anxiety becomes too much for her. She desperately reaches out to the goddess she once was or could be in the future. Just for some guidance.

Only the thing that answers back has nothing but bad intentions.

Zelda quickly finds that this problem can’t be buried away like her others , especially when the thing in the lake steals Link away.

Now She and Groose have to journey through time , collecting campions along the way in hopes of reaching the group of heroes before the the she summoned can.

( design chat - Tetra is my fave , I knew she would be but still , Groose of course was a challenge, because of his face but after that it came along fairly quickly. Linkle was a nightmare, I didn’t know what to do for her outfit because she was so darn cute in the game , but I feel like I’ve made her look more mature like I wanted. Castletown

- after years of service and heroics , Link has grown tired of the bureaucracy of the upper class and the alienation of the peoples. After a noble dinner gone wrong Link has had enough. Under the cover of night he , his mother and his sister ( linkle ) pack up everything they own and skip town.

New hair , new name and new job working in his mothers new dress shop.

And everything was fine , he and his family finally had a fresh start.

And then two fools named link stumble into town. And he wants Nothing to do with them , or this adventure , or Anymore time travel !

But when one of them turns out to be his little war brother all grown up. And he was never good at telling him no.

But who is he fooling , he can’t stay still for long , it’s in his soul.

Forest

- link hates the hand he’s been delt , but the world has shown him time and time again that it doesn’t care about how he feels about his situation. Each adventure he’s been thrown into leads to him mourning the friends he made along the way, either forgetting him or being kept apart by time itself.

But fine , he’ll play the worlds game , he’ll do it’s adventures , he’ll save the day. But he is Not gonna be happy about it.

But then suddenly his bothers are here , changed , older and more worn. But their here ! … but so is some noob who’s the source of all his problems

Forest makes people kneel down when he’s telling them off , so he can loom properly

Forest :” Sweet hylias tits !!! “

Skyloft :” don’t say that -“

Forest:” I can’t believe you were gonna eat this - This is POISON!! - you do know what Poison is right ?? “

Skyloft :” well …”

Forest :” your hopeless , your stupid - I don’t have words -“

Skyloft :” can I get up now my knees hurt -“

Forest :”NO. I’m not done yelling.”

A few things I’d want to have in the links that bind us au ( my own personal links meet au ✨) ( silly edition )

- love the fanfic trope of ghirahim wanting link to wield his should sword because he’s the only one worthy. But then is bamboozled into joining their self worth journey against his will.

- Groose having the horrifying realisation that he liked both Zelda AND Link and that he can’t do anything about it rn because they have to save the world

- all the links finding out that skyloft has no survival skills out side of fighting. And Forest personally drags his ass around the woods pointing out all the poisonous stuff

- poor Zelda realising that Tetra is a crazy woman and she is now stuck on a ship with her.

- saria becoming the sweetest lil explosives expert there is

- they’d meet TP link , and for once he’s happy and married and has kids and goats and it shows the other links that settling down can be an option for some but not all.

- botw link and Zelda not being the problem childen for once

The overall plot of The Links that bind up au

Its been just over a year since the defeat of demise. And link and Zelda aren’t doing too good.

Neither want to worry the other with their problems because’ they have so much going on already’.

But when Link is snatched up by a magical whirlpool in a near by lake , he suddenly finds himself on another adventure with a bunch of future heros of hyrule.

Now Zelda and her rag tag team of side characters are on a quest to save their respective links from a threat non of them would have expected.

All while said Links are on seafaring adventure where they’re trying to figure out what’s causing the problem with the time stream this time with the power friendship , swords and feelings.

Learning valuable lessons like - not blaming yourself for other peoples actions , and that isolating yourself doesn’t help anyone.

All while somthing lurks in the depths of the great sea , waiting to strike ✨✨✨✨✨OOooOOOooooo ✨✨

Facts

-In this au the titular time portals take the form of magical whirlpools that form in each eras respective lake hylias. While the great sea has a bunch of branching portals. Making the wind Waker world sort of a hub world.…. Because pirates rock , and I want them to have a boat and shit

- I think ima keep the link crew small due to having Zeldas group as well. I might add one more I’m not sure. But they do meet other links along the way , they just don’t join the group.

- Zeldas team consist of-

ss Zelda , Groose , Linkle , Tetra ( who will also have muscles ) and Saria

- I already know the big bad - but I wanna talk more about her after I design her.

- I realllllly wanna find a way to squeeze ghirahim into this because I love it when people redeem him but he’s still a bitch
