Jazzyra's father, Flynn Goodwilt
Jazzyra the Fake Witch (OC One Shot)
"Can you believe it?" Jazzyra said, twirling in her newly customized Hexside uniform. "Principal Bump is letting us take two tracks at the same time!"
"Yeah! Ever since that human transferred here, things have gotten a lot more interesting." Amani retorted.
"That's an understatement. She somehow convinced the Principal to actually let people choose more than one track when none of us could! You've been begging him to let you take both oracles and bard for years." Briedalyn wasn't wrong. Jazzyra has often sung her predictions in class and it caused a bit of a stir when stuff would float around and suddenly combust into flames because of said predictions being of the death variety.
"And what about you, Brie?" Amani faced the red-dyed-haired girl. "Construction and beast keeping?"
"Oh! You could open a... what did the human call it? A zoo! You could build your own zoo of beasts and creatures!" Jaz turned to face her friends.
Brie chuckled. "You caught me, Zyra. I wanted to ask Luz more about zoos first. But I think people will like it. I sure will."
Zrya's third eye started glowing purple for a second. "Oh yeah. It's gonna be a hit!" She turns around as they approach the school entrance.
Waiting at the front door, were the cousins, Wishell and Comella. Wishell sporting the pink uniform given to those who study the abomination track and Comella thinking outside the box with green (plants) and blue (healing). They waved at the three friends approaching them and they waved back, Jazzyra blushing at Wishell's gentle grin.
Bump!
A pink girl bumped into Jazzyra as she passed her "Watch where you're standing loser!" Said the pink girl.
"Ugh. Bosha." Uttered Jaz.
Amani tapped her friend's shoulder. "Zyra? Your... ear fell off."
"Hm?" Jazzyra touched her ear and panicked, covering up her whole ear and looking at the ground. "My earing!" She picked up the wire-wrapped elf earring and ran into the school, looking for a washroom to duck into.
Amani and Briedalyn looked at each other with concern for their friend as Comella joined them.
Wishell went ahead to look for Jazzyra.
When she found her, Jaz was huddled in a washroom stall, struggling to hold back tears while she fixed her earring.
"Jazzyra?" Wishell startled her. "Are you ok?"
Jazzyra sniffed "ye-yeah! Why wouldn't I be?" She hid her ear in a cowell and avoided eye contact.
Wishell sighed and sat down beside her crush. "I can tell something's wrong, Zyra. It's ok. You can tell me!" She smiled, causing the blush to return to Zyra's cheeks.
The three-eyed girl sighed and pulled the Cowell down. "It's just... I've struggled with bullying long before I came here to Hexside. Because of my ears." She took off the second earring and revealed her small round ears.
"You're human?" Wishell was shocked. "But your third eye... You can do magic!"
"Maybe? I don't know. My dad found me as a baby, on the beach in a barnacle covered basket and from x-rays, instead of a witch's bile sack, I had a sea creature stuck to my ribs that supplies my magic. He said I had the third eye of empathy curse when he found me, but... I'm... Not- a real witch. I made these earrings to hide my ears because other kids would call me either a freak or hideous..." A sigh escapes.
Wishell thought for a moment before wrapping her arm around her shoulder "You're not a freak and you're the furthest thing from hideous! Zyra, you don't have to hide who you are. I think you're perfect just being you." Jazzyra could see the rouge glowing on Wishell's cheeks.
Blushing as well, Jazzyra snuggled closer. "You... Really mean it?"
"Of course I do. You're amazing, Jazzyra."
"No, you are." Zyra smiled.
"Atta girl. So, does Aman and Brie know?"
"No. I should tell them, shouldn't I."
Wishell nods and suddenly, the bell rings.
"At lunch though."
"Heh. Yeah." She slips on her earrings and they head off to class.
The end?
