It was uncommon for the arena to be so empty in the afternoon, but Jesse was grateful for the quiet as he dropped his bag to the side and pulled the bracelet off his wrist. He pressed his thumb to the indent on the inside and within a second was holding a full-sized bow. No matter how many times he had done it now, it still gave him a bit of a start. Going off his routine, he had brought his quiver with him by accident, and he laughed as he picked it up– there was no need for it anymore, though it might be interesting to see if anything happened trying to shoot regular arrows with his new bow.
Someone else approaching drew his attention away, and he smiled as he recognized them, subconsciously pushing his glasses up and running a hand through his hair. “Oh, hey! Sorry, am I in your way?”
