Hi, seanagh. Idk if you're on instagram or not, but apparently Jenson has a special helmet for his final race this weekend👀

Not sure if you do helmet review that is not f1, but it is jenson's so... would love to know your thoughts about it if you have any (cause I kinda do😅)

HI STEVE!!!! I was saving this ask for when I had the time/headspace (here at Helmet Watch HQ we take things very seriously). I am always down to take individual helmet/livery rating requests if people are interested!

ngl I was surprised when I saw Jenson's posts showcasing his one-off helmet for his last ever professional motorsport race because I wasn't expecting Jenson to do such a deep dive from the Button archives. But I really, really love it.

As a very sentimental person I adore the full circle moment of Jenson running the very first helmet design he had in karting, which was designed by his late father, but also incorporates the 'JB' motif which he ran for the majority of his F1 career. I think the blending of the two designs has been executed really well by having the modern helmet design be in grey sitting underneath the karting design.

The yellow line work is very simple but really effective, it stands out against the black and grey and just makes for a really interesting helmet design.

I just think it's really great, Jenson's helmet painter did a really great job, and I have to say that I very much appreciate that it's been finished with a glossy finish!!!

10/10 - I'm still not over Jenson actually being fully retired now 😭

lowering the sebson flag to half mast this weekend isn't enough. i'll definitely hold hands and cry over the fact that somebody just had to finish his racing career the same weekend that seb decided to go to brazil. i mean, honestly, have they not thought about the people???

Tan! Hi! Sorry for being late to the party but have to say that the jenson's hair tier list is so well done. 10/10 as always.

I do wonder though, where would you put his bald haircut (which I guess isn't exactly an era since it only happened once). And do you think he looks better with a full bald head, instead of whatever short haircut he has going on these days?

but to be fair as you pointed it out it's not a whole era, but a liminal space between pre f1 era when he was going through feeder series and the "he was a child" kind of deal lol. ANYWAY. given the context - they all shaved their heads in celebration of him winning a karting championship - i say it's "good" or even "nice". like it's a bit he did with his mates sort of a boys will be boys whimsy so yeah!! i respect Eggson Button

I would love your professional view on why some of these drivers' hair turned darker (from blonde obv) as they got older🤔

Do you think they were ashamed of being blonde? Or is there more nefarious reasons behind it.

lmaoooo well it's natural that hair gets darker as people grow up!! i had much lighter hair as a child, my dad is one of those born blond turned brown people. IT'S FINE!!! most blond people don't keep their childhood hair colour, it gets darker even if they still remain blond.

im not a professional and ive never been naturally blond myself on account of being half korean (that's just not realistic, the chances of me being naturally blonde were close to a zero from the get go)

EVEN LIKE. LET'S LOOK AT JENSON BUTTON... this child is so blond it's honestly SCARY. and yet?

he grows up to be not scarily blond. and that's fiiine.

honestly it's kind of good he's not a proper blond because he already has blue eyes and i just can't spend time on people who are both blond AND have blue eyes, like, pick a struggle. ANYWAY. people's hair be getting darker, and that's okay. no reasons for that other than maybe genetics and general environmental pollution that's going on in the world!!

OPI - How Does Your Zen Garden Grow?

The closest colour I have to a Brawn GP chartreuse, which will always be *the* Jenson colour to me - and considering your URL and blog theme it was the first colour I thought of.

This is one of my favourite colours to wear in Spring and you do give me Spring vibes bc of how you're a chill but also very happy influence on my dash which I always love to see!
