A Superman like figure seems to keep popping up in Zack Snyder's most recent films(Army of the Dead and Rebel Moon Part 1/Chapter 1 & Part 2/Chapter 2) since Justice League(referring to Zack Snyder's Justice League).

In Army of the Dead there is Zeus, the Zombie King, who also wears a cape, exhibits some intelligence and is stronger/faster than the other zombies. Note: Zack filmed Army of the Dead in 2019 before WB greenlit his cut of Justice League.

Then there is honorable mechanical knight 'Jimmy'/JC-1435 or James in Rebel Moon who is more Superman like with the cape, strength and resistant to slag weaponry in the films.

It looks like Zack longs to return to Superman and his story that started with Man of Steel and I do believe both Zack and Henry will finish that story.

my favorite thing about Rebel Moon is that when Kora and Gunnar leave on their quest, Jimmy has the flower crown

but then once they're through with their nonsense and they come back, now he has antlers and it is never explained why

I mean I imagine we'll get a reason in either Part 2 or the extended cut but until then I've decided that either the villagers started worshiping him as a god or Sam just kept putting various things on his head or both

maybe it's just the fact i see religious metaphors everywhere already, but i don't think it's a mistake that arthelais is named after a saint and jc-1435 is named after an apostle.
