I am absolutely convinced Chow is a riot when he's drunk

Chow is so touch starved. He never really got a lot of physical affection as a kid and the second he's in a relationship he's just constantly touching Ratso or Finn. Feet in their lap, leaning on their shoulder, sitting in their lap, he is just a clingy mess.

Chow hcs: (1)Youngest of 2 or 3. Feels no reason to stand out cus he grew up not feeling noticed anyways. Helga Pataki-type parents who treated him like he was Just There. Moved out immediately. (2)Sunglasses are perscription. He wore glasses as a kid and got bullied for looking like a nerd. (3) Is silently panicking everytime supernatural bs happens.

(1) oh yeah definitely, he's definitely the youngest. Not feeling noticed is so sad yet so accurate. I don't know who Helga Pataki (oh she's from Hey Arnold. I've never seen Hey Arnold) but yeah I definitely think he moved out as soon as he graduated high school/turned eighteen, he'd rather do his own thing and figure shit out on his own then continue being ignored in his own home.

(2) sunglasses are definitely prescription, it's my personal hc that he's got really shit vision and had those big thick bug eye glasses growing up and definitely got bullied for it. I hc that he has really bad light sensitivity and he gets migraines pretty bad because of it, which is why he wears sunglasses and doesn't do contact or anything. He gets migraines that knock him out for hours if not days at a time, but he can bounce back if he has his pills for it. He's got big black out curtains on every window in his apartment so he can live in the dark without having to wear his sunglasses 24/7.

(3) lmao YES! He's like 'I did not sign up for this shit' he did not agree to work for a dragon or do any of the bullshit he got dragged into. He was there for the pay check at The Dark Hand and as soon as shit started getting weird he wanted to peace out of there so fast (and got stuck and subsequently stayed for all that shit seasons 1-4)

Chow worked at a Sunglass Hut or something out of high school and yeah it was fine, but it was retail, and he was good at his job but it was still soul sucking, so when his friend or coworker told him about these "easy as shit" protection jobs where all they had to do was stand in warehouse and make sure no one steals these crates he JUMPED on the opportunity. And that's how he ended up working for The Dark Hand.

Besides school and going to the arcade, Chow did Taekwondo in high school, and once higher ups at The Dark Hand and Valmont realized that yeah he might be a short and skinny guy but he's actually really good in a fight they started sending him on more hands on things, intimidation and debt collecting and those sorts of things, moving up the ranks and getting more well known.

23. What kind of alcohol they drink

Chow strikes me as a mixed drink and shots kinda guy. He drinks martinis, maybe a few other mixed drinks, he quite enjoys rum, and when he's doing shots he does tequila shots and gets fucked up

24. What they wish they could change about themselves

(Omg don't hurt me like this) Chow's got low self esteem in certain aspects like he grew up with everyone pushing that stupid "genius asian" stereotype on him and he feels like a complete idiot because of it. So I guess he wishes he was smarter than he is

9. What calms them when they are upset

Honestly once they get together just being around Finn and Ratso calms him a lot, but when he's alone he makes the same tea his mom would make growing up, and even though he doesn't drink tea very often anymore that specific blend calms him down and reminds him of home.

16. Their sexuality

Chow is gay 100% just look at him. I think he knew from a very early age and was never able to really hide it so he got bullied as a kid for it. He went on exactly one date with a girl in high school and was like, 'yeah this isn't for me' he's also a complete twink but he's insecure about it for some reason so he gets bitchy if anyone calls him a twink (he's also a vers but everyone assumes he's a strict bottom and it pisses him off that no one assumes he tops)
