i finally have names for the dark hand!

Valmont Monette (i liked how stupid but also posh it sounds. Monette roughly means home or rich protection

Yamaguchi Tohru (Yamaguchi being 山口, meaning mountain entrance and Tohru being 竜, meaning dragon, imperial, mythical creature)

Phineas "Finn" Flanagon (i just liked how it sounded, but Phineas possibly means serpent's mouth in hebrew or Nubian from an egyptian name and Flanagon means descendant of Flannagán, which itself means blood red)

Andrea Giuseppe "Ratso" Santoro (huge thanks for my italian friend for just handing me this name wholesale. Andrea from Andrew which basically just means masculine, Giuseppe for Joseph, which means he will add, and Santoro meaning all saint's day)

Alonzo Chow (Alonzo meaning noble and ready. His chinese name is Kěguì, spelled 可贵 and meaning to be treasured or praiseworthy with Chow spelled 周 which is both a dynasty (Zhōu) and means to encircle)

Bonus:

Chow's little sister is Amanda, meaning loveable or worthy of love with her chinese name being Kěài, spelled 可愛 and meaning worth loving

What do you think the enforcers favorite holidays are?

I am convinced Ratso loves Valentines Day. He enjoys seeing all the couples and the romantic gestures on that day, even if he isn't in a relationship. Plus the day after... cheap candy XD [He would share with the others and his nephew]

Chow likes New years. When he was younger, he liked it for the parties and drinking and mad scramble for a kiss. Now, he likes the promise of new beginnings, an opportunity for changes and fresh starts. Sometimes the changes stick, sometimes they don't. The chance is still there.

Finn, strangely enough, looks forward to Fourth of July. He will say it's for the 'babes in bikinis' but it's more then that. He loves the summer weather, the get togethers and food. And the flashy end of the night fireworks. That's his favorite part; laying back with a drink and watching the explosions in the sky.

For all three Christmas is their second favorite. Not just for the presents, but getting to be with those they care about. That includes each other. [Also I still feel robbed that we never got to see the Enforcers during the Christmas episode!]

dark hand headcanons while I'm thinking about them

Chow is second generation american, he was born in California and has lived in San Francisco his entire life

Chow watched Grease or a movie similar once when he was a little kid, loved the male lead and decided to model his entire life off of him

Ratso is first generation american, he was born in Italy but moved here when he was young

He still remembers his old house and the family tries to go back to Italy at least once a year to visit family. He has many cousins

Valmont is also first generation american, but his family never went back to england after they moved, even to visit

Ratso's really good at math

Finn did roller derby when he first turned eighteen. He was good and his team won a number of rallies, but he quit after only a short time

What do you think are the Enforcers tolerance for spicy food?

To me, Chow has the highest, Ratso can handle medium spicy, and Finn's Irish genes mean that black pepper can be too intense.

Oh my god this is so true 😂

Chow can definitely handle spicy food, regularly eats Thai food and doesn't even break a sweat.

Ratso likes a good hot wing or spicy chili oil noodles meanwhile Finn thinks pepperoni pizza is spicy and starts sweating if he eats anything 'spicer' than orange chicken

More Enforcers Headcannons

Finn watches rom coms, which he's mildy embarrassed about until he finds out that Ratso also enjoys them

They saw You've Got Mail in theaters together and have weekly movie nights

Chow loves b-rate kung-fu movies and horror slashers

They all like action movies

Chow forces them to have a horror movie marathon every Halloween

Ratso really likes those family Christmas movies like The Santa Clause and Home Alone and he watches them every year

Chow's favorite movie is Scream

Finn's favorite movie is Sleepless in Seattle (but he tells people his favorite is Rocky)

Ratso's favorite move is When Harry Met Sally (although he does cry every time he watches Pursuit of Happyness so its a close second)

Enforcers laundry day outfits. What are they wearing when they have absolutely no clean clothes left? [Bonus points if you include underwear]

STOPPP I've had a little comic planned for ages about this and have never gotten around to drawing it 😭

Everytime I think about Finn doing laundry he's in like a racerback tank top and short shorts, looking like he's about to go for a morning run (that man does not run unless forced to but ssshhh) In his day to day life he only really wears the one outfit unless he's off duty (which he never is because Valmont is always calling him to come in) so his laundry day is spent at the dry cleaners with his and Ratso's suits arguing with the workers to get their shit done in one day because "I have work tomorrow and this is my only suit" the mom and pop dry cleaner he used to go to shut down so he's been hard pressed to find one that will do 'in by 10 out by 5'

Chow is a one outfit person, he has dozens of the exact same t shirts in dark grey and black so when he does laundry he's still in the same t shirt, some standard black shorts if it's warm and his single pair of sweatpants if its cold (man does not sleep in pants so he just never has sweatpants)

Ratso's got plenty of t shirts and pants/shorts varieties but they're all pretty standard graphic tees and jeans and basketball shorts. Rolls up to the laundromat in a ten year old faded t shirt and basketball shorts stained to hell. Chow will tag along sometimes since they live near each other. Ratso will pull one colorful t shirt from Chow's clothes, hold it up and say "this is mine." Chow doesn't say anything, just takes it back and washes it with his clothes.

Don't ask me about underwear you implanted the image of them all in jockstraps in my mind

Can Ratso and Chow play musical instruments? Maybe that was just Finn's dream because he wants to perform together with his besties? Or maybe they can, but aren't so great at that?

I personally don't headcanon either of them as knowing how to play instruments, but I wouldn't be surprised if they were in band in high school. The mental image of Chow playing trumpet makes me laugh.

I do think Valmont knows how to play piano though. I think his dad forced him to learn as a kid to get some discipline and patience since he seemed like such a brat in the time travel episode.
