14. Five facts about your favorite movie.

Walt Disney's Fantasia (1940) is considered his opus

The primeval Earth scene (Rite of Spring) was filmed using a mixture of porridge, mud, and other ingredients and was enhanced by animation; apart from the orchestra sequences, it is the only live-action sequence in the whole movie.

The first American film to use stereophonic sound as well as the first and only film recorded in Fantasound.

Even after sixty years Disney receives complaints from parents claiming the "Night on Bald Mountain" sequence terrified their children.

In the "Pastoral Symphony" segment there was originally a scene showing stereotyped black assistant centaurs shining the hooves of white centaurs. The chief of these was Sunflower, who had a very stereotypical look: big, red lips and wild, messy hair. It was not until the 1969 re-release that this was thought to be objectionable, and all subsequent releases until 1980 had an abrupt cut at this point. Every subsequent release after 1990 includes the scene, but with the section blown up so that it only shows the faces of the white female centaurs.

The double name is a corruption of the indigenous term apparently taken from the local Darkinjung Aboriginal people, and reputedly means 'big lagoon' or 'much water', referring to the deep tidal channel adjacent to the town centre.

It was originally known as Webb's Flat, named for James Webb, the first European settler of the Brisbane Water region in 1823, and was first explored by a party led by Governor Arthur Phillip in 1789.

The town has ties to British comedian Spike Milligan (the Goonies). Milligan famously named Woy Woy "the largest above ground cemetery in the world" when visiting in the 1960s.

It's considered a part of the Greater Sydney Region (about an hour North).

No idea. I wish I knew. It's something we always used to ask each other. I remember someone telling us that he performed at a Jive showcase in 2003 and the president saying JC was gonna be a fucking star. Y'all have seen the sell sheet, right? He had tons of promo lined up and a great release date. Also, I heard that record stores were gonna stay open late until like 12 because JC's release was supposed to be a huge deal. Then it got pushed back. Then there were staff changes and it all went downhill.
