Ask Meme: Simple Words -- @jckphmtom
“Give me the cliff-notes version then,” Nico snapped. “We don’t have time for anything but simple!”
Nothing like a séance gone very wrong to get the blood pumping. Good news was that most times a bunch of kids got together with a ouija board, they didn’t have enough power or know the right words to really cause a problem. Unfortunately, this was not one of those times and Someone was listening for just a call. Nico arrived late to the scene, sometime after heads spinning around and chairs floating around the room, with enough time to see not miss the gaping hole in the middle of the ouija board placed on the table, a mystical portal going who knew where.
Oh yeah, and the ghost trying to close the hole with their disembodied hands, which was going about as well as expected. Hair whipping around in the ghostly wind, Nico hadn’t yet drawn his sword, not exactly sure how it would help in the moment nor what the mortals would think when they saw it, but given how much they were all screaming, he arguably couldn’t make things worse.
