“Sometimes, I wonder what it’d be like if we could just act like ordinary teenagers. No monsters, nothing like that.” Nancy spoke as she looked up towards Jonathan. “You know? Like... baking brownies, going camping.” She sighed softly. Of course she couldn’t even go camping without thinking that there was a monster around the corner or in the trees.
“Make stupid mistakes, have a nice prom. And then drink too much and throw up somewhere dumb.” She shrugged. She didn’t think that it was so bad, to want some moments where she could just act like any other normal teenager. “And then college. Where I’m sure we’ll make even more stupid mistakes. But, it’ll all be worth it.”
