I have a new headcanon for JD's appearance. It will be used in new fics and drawings. In one of the fights in his early teens, he got an eye injury. After that, his pupil stopped narrowing and stayed wide, almost black. Aside from the fact that he now looks strange with one yellow-light eye and a second almost black eye, JD also began to see worse in bright light, preferring semi-darkness. He also now sees the world through a blue filter. (yes, that's a Bowie reference)

WELL, I HAVE TO TALK.

I've been thinking a lot about jacklust lately and I came up with a headcanon...

Si'ha Nova being a mother-in-law who's a huge fan of plants and passed that fanaticism on to her son-in-law. I feel like she'd be really nice to Jack despite everything that happened and Jack would feel confused about it, and well, I think she introduced Jack to the whole world of plants and now Jack has his own garden lol.

all that headcanon led to the idea of this little drawing hehe 🥳

Portal mishaps

When Wanderlust started learning how to open portals he opened one to Rapsutin's map and went through it and then it closed behind him and he couldn't open one back to the space-time hotel.

Si'ha Nova almost killed The Traveler because he couldn't find Wanderlust for 5 days. They did eventually find him, both Wanderlust and The Traveler were grounded after that incident.

there is SO much i can say about this bitch. dont get me started

- his favorite subject in school is history.

Canonically, his grandpa fought in WW2, or at least he claims so. hes not the most reliable person in the movie, but taking his claim at face value, he probably spent a fair amount of time with his grandfather as a kid, and going off of this, developed an interest in the war, and history in general.

- loner by choice.

JD is the sort of person that just has a massive superiority complex, to overshadow his inferiority complex. He prides himself as better than everyone at Westerberg, and specifically opts not to get toooo close to anyone while at any given school, since he knows that itll only end with him leaving them behind. He wants to minimize the emotional baggage he carries with him. Other than this, he’d also do it for ego purposes. Since he’s moved around so much, he’s seen a lot, and knows that high school is practically the same everywhere. Knowing this, he might see himself as above everyone in his school, fueling his seemingly massive ego.

I imagine JD would be a fan of some punk artists, like dead kennedys, and personally relate to songs like Insight. however, even taking this into account, he would rather cut his own arm off than admit it. admission would therefore mean association w a clique, which I assume he’d want to avoid, for the reasons mentioned previously. I can also see him listening to the likes of depeche mode and joy division occasionally, as well as the smiths.

JD is too convenient of a name. For some reason, Jason H. Dean feels very natural to me as a full name, and I like to think his full name is Jason Hartwell Dean. why? i couldn’t tell you. those r just the vibes i get

-SCARILY good at guessing

JD is not the best student. Sure, he comes to class, but mostly spends it in the back of the room, lost in thought. fortunately for him, he’s extremely good at being able to gauge the situation and find an appropriate answer, with minimal context. He does well on tests and is good at sudoku, which Veronica taught him to play, for this very reason.

I had this duo dancer/car for a whiiiile, and since the reception to the first post was positive, now it's time for one of the Just Dancers ! Jack Rose (Locked out of Heaven, Majesty, Treasure) : Citroën Rosalie 11 UA Limousine 1936

I know, another Citroën model... (It's not my fault classic Citroën have rad designs yk--) But for what it's worth, the long sleek lines, the dark aesthetic and the class it has fits for Jack Rose, in a public eye, is : a performer, a showman of high class with a snazzy ride, from Eternyx. Though it could be easily thought he has a chauffeur, my headcanon part of my mind can't help but think of the limo as maybe the one thing he can consider loyal and reliable in the whole mess his family situation is, if he owns and drives it himself.

Yeah I kinda imagine it could be his 'confident', of sorts ? The thing he could sort of lean on within his ups and downs before he met the other Just Dancers (even if it has its age). If it had to be personified, I'd see as a girl with the name 'Caroline' (get it, 'car-oline') as the name fits her old-fashion design and aura/aesthetic, whether it's by a spell Lilith cast on her or 'love imbues life' trope that she gets sentience is your choice...

I completely stole this headcanon from someone else, but basically Dr. Color and Fancy Footwork are the same person, and he’s married to Pearl Brooks, and Lumen is their son, and the two take bubble baths together.
