Audio Journal, Day 9
13:40 - New CD: the Clayton Brothers' Siblingity. It's a swingy jazzy joint. Not much listening tonight; hanging out with Giles. He let me borrow his Adcom DAC. Sweet. I'll audition that more extensively tomorrow.

Audio Journal, Day 7
16:25 - More BNL. Sweet. Adjusted the speakers a bit; I put a penny under one of the spikes (front left of the left speaker) to level it better. I notice a difference. The bass seems tighter; I'm going to test that really in a few minutes. The vocal position seem more accurate, too -- probably the whole soundstage. Posted a blog entry about my rediscovered hobby. Much more to say. Listened to Lenny Kravitz, Rush, Toad the Wet Sprocket, and Lyle Lovett. A listened to some Smashing Pumpkins while I cooked dinner. Done at 23:00. The Jolida is already sounding better.
Audio Journal, Day 6
18:46 - Heard from Audible Elegance today: the rDAC shipped. It'll still be another week. Sheesh. Beginning with Lyle Lovett's Live in Texas; finishing what I started last night. Recorded very well, and such fantastic performances. Barenaked Ladies' Gordon is also a great-sounding album; what a surprise. Ended about 22:45.
Audio Journal, Day 5
Received the Jolida JD 302BRC at about 15:30, and she's warming up now for an evening of audio goodness. Called Audible Elegance about the rDAC, and Roger is still waiting to hear from them. I think I ordered it Jan 24, but it could have been as early as the 17th (no, pretty sure it was the 24th). Still, that's over two weeks. This is starting to get annoying. But, boy does the the Jolida sound nice, even just out of the box.
