Jason’s voice washes over him as Dick ties and knots together the flowers until they form a perfect circle, and when he looks at Jason, he can’t help but let out a soft “oh”; the peaceful look on Jason’s face softens something inside him.

He wants to study the other’s face while they lie next to each other; wants to run his hands through Jason’s hair, softly taking out all the knots that have formed after a hard day of training; wants to lie his head on Jason’s shoulder and wake up with their faces inches away from each other.

♡

Jason used to laugh when people told him love was something you could physically feel, he’d never experienced it so the possibility always seemed funny to him. That changed when he started growing closer to Dick and he finally understood what they had all been trying to tell him. He feels it again now as he looks at Dick in his gleaming ceremony dress with his hair as unruly as always; it’s as if the bottom of his stomach has dropped out and there’s something real and tangible shifting in the centre of his chest.
