Stupid fucking tumblr deleting my post so I'm gonna tl;dr this shit. Here goes: Kinda slammed my hood shut last night and couldn't open or fuck with it since it was hot. I had the motor running. After work today I went ahead and tried doing all sorts of shit until I decided to just snake my hands through where the kidney grille should be. Unbolted the latch mechanism on the hood side. Hood was then open for me to inspect the front damage. I used the OEM jack to pry the core support and flex the bumper apart from each other enough for me to get the shrouds, grilles, and headlight buckets out. I still couldn't access most of the shock bumper bolts so I'm gonna need a sawzall for that lower apron and maybe the bumper itself.

So i did a rough list of what i need for the euro conversion front and rear. Keep in mind this is just bare bones. I've skipped the mounting hardware assuming i could reuse most of what i already have. Roughly a grand for appearance mods. I'm not used to this since at most, i've only done wheels as an appearance mod for the E30.

The end of summer has come upon us Vegas residents as the rain clouds rolled in and drenched the sizzling pavement. Today could not come any sooner as I've waited for almost a month. Not the end of summer, but the start of this new project I've been set my sights on. A 1984 Alpine White 528e. Although it's current state shows that it's seen much better days, with a smashed front end, I didn't want it to end up in the crusher. Bought from a fellow enthusiast, who had grand plans before being run into, it was a deal. Having had the m20 power plant recently refreshed and converted to a super eta, the engine has a lot more spunk to it. And based on the documents, I don't need to worry much about rust since this car has been mostly in Arizona and Vegas. Given the countless documents, the previous owners actually took care of the car. I'll mainly be focusing on restoring the front end and having a new frame rail welded in. I'll be needing a passenger fender, hood, lower valance, core support, new grills, passenger headlamp carrier, and some trim. Some minor things I need to take care of; that stupid door chime, blower resistor, and heater valve since it's going to be cold soon.
