royalty au (fragile infinity) scene preview
it’s gonna take me a while to finish this fic (and i don’t want to post until it’s done because i KNOW me) but i wanted to give a little something from the draft for people who are following its progress T^T so have a funny scene with shinsou being a little shit

“Speaking of good teams, you know, I’ve been wondering,” Izuku begins, his tone entirely too innocent. Shinsou sighs and lets his head fall back against the chair.
“Not this again.”
“Are you seeing anyone?”
“You’re as bad as my dad,” Shinsou huffs, closing his eyes. Izuku grins.
“Which one?”
“Take a guess.”
“You work too much, and it’s kind of my fault. I just don’t want you to miss an opportunity to be happy.”
“Why are you so interested?” Shinsou sets a lazy glare in Izuku’s direction, but he’s undeterred.
“You’re my friend? And I tell you everything about Shouto.”
“That sounds like a you problem, not a me problem.”
“Come on, I’m your friend, right?”
”You’re my prince.”
“That’s it?” Izuku asks, playing up an exaggerated frown. Shinsou rolls his eyes.
“You’re never gonna give up, are you?”
“Probably not, no.”
“Fine.”
“Really?” Izuku asks, leaning on the table in surprise. It’s never this easy to get something out of Shinsou about his private life. This is probably a trick, but Izuku is willing to take that chance.
“Yeah, sure. I’m with someone already.”
Izuku jumps slightly, leaning more heavily on the table, eyes wide and curious. This is definitely unexpected.
“Really? How long have you been together?”
Shinsou just looks at him, expression blank. Izuku frowns, but relents.
“Okay. What are you willing to tell me about...this person?”
“Hm. She’s pink.”
“She’s pink? That’s all you’re gonna give me?”
“For now? Yeah, pretty much.”
i just have this hc that shinsou is actually a little shit with his friends (who he didn’t come here to make, ofc)
and in this au he takes his job really seriously, he’s an advisor to a prince after all so talking about his private life doesn’t even occur to him until he’s asked and then he doesn’t see the point so he stirs up mischief instead of answering.
i might do more of these in the future if people like them! but we’ll see haha;;
