" 'I'm not sure what happened yesterday,' her mother said, as Piper was pulling on her boots. "But that boy has come a long way. At least bring him in for hot cocoa.' " ~ I was planning on reading this in the winter for obvious reasons, but my curiosity got the best of me and I ended up staying up way past my bedtime last night. I don't usually read YA but this was a nice break from the really long ones I've been reading lately. I couldn't put it down, ended up finishing it, and I have to admit I may have gotten a little teary eyed. The Winter's Song was written by the lovely @hotcocoareads, so although there is a lot of food in this one here I am drinking hot cocoa in August like a crazy person. There is a delicious sounding passage about Italian potato and sausage soup but it's over 30 degrees here and I don't think my family would be amused. I guess I'll just have to save it for the winter. Congrats on an amazing accomplishment Jeana! 👏👏👏 . . . . . #currentlyreading #bookstagram #bookworm #bibliophile #igreads #libri #instalibri #lettura #foodinbooks #foodinliterature #thewinterssong #jeanawatters #hotcocoa
