#tbt to the second-best Christmas present I ever gave my Dad (the family joke is that the first was a copy of the film Witness on DVD, to which he responded with pure joy ... he really likes Witness you guys 😂) One of the priests at Dad’s church is a collector of nativities, and for the last few years he’s put his collection of more than 500 cribs on display at the church to raise money for charity. It’s a remarkable collection, and attending the exhibition has become one of my favourite Christmas traditions. Dad once said that the knitted nativities were the ones he liked best, so in 2014 I decided he should have one of his own. The pattern is Sarah Gasson's Christmas Nativity Collection, and the lamb is taken from Jean Greenhowe's Christmas Crib.
