From the Quint Archives: Installation views of Jean Lowe’s exhibition in 2005 at the gallery, GRAND TOUR. Lowe's exhibition included a salon style hanging of paintings depicting modern strip malls with their cookie-cutter architectural sensibility of parking lots and chain-stores against backgrounds of ancient and grand, 19th Century romantic landscapes. Also included in the installation was a sculpture of a life-size baby grand piano with it's lid open revealing ice cold beer and pop, further emphasizing the theme of cultural decay.
