Strength: On what issue is your character persistent?
{{ So, I’m going to answer this both OOC and IC!}}OOC:Jeannot is absolutely persistant on one thing and one thing only, and that is to be inexplicably truthful regardless of how it may affect another person. This doesn’t mean he doesn’t have tact it simply means he refuses to lie to another person whether its for their benefit or his. He is a caring person above all else, and in caring for someone, you also have to be willing to tell them the things they may or may not want to hear so that you may better their understanding, perception, or image of themselves or another person. Most of this tends to be evident in the way he treats those around him: being unable to lie when he feels a certain way about something they’re doing or saying that, based on their intonation or body language, may have hurt or insulted someone else. For someone as timid as Jeannot seems to be, he’s not the kind to let social injustices stand so easily. He also is not the type to allow misunderstandings about his own self or his own words fall to the wayside (so long as, of course, they are brought to his attention.) This is evident both in love and friendship. IC:“You know, I never…would have considered myself ever persistent about a certain thing, you know.”Jeannot murmurs, twining his fingers in the petite set that joined his on the bed. His eyes are upon the canopy above his head, occasionally tilting to the near-translucent fabrics that seemed to have joined the overall decor of the bed frame. There was a shimmer in the fabric like stars, and it made him, for a moment, nostalgic for the eyes of the man beside him. He tilts his head to peer into the blonde’s eyes, narrowed forest orbs bashfully shuttered behind lash-lined lids in contemplative flutter:“…But there’s one thing, I think, that means so much to me…is the truth. To tell the truth, to know the truth, inexplicably.”Now his entire body tilts, forcing the sheets beneath him to wrinkle. He’s taking their conjoined hands and giving them a light squeeze, before he draws the male’s hand out from the grip of his digits and leading the palm to rest against his clothed chest.“And I feel I’ve failed, in some sort of that aspect, to tell you how much you truly mean to me sometimes…”
↣ - Is this a long-term career choice, or is it possible they take up a different trade later in life?
{{ So Jeannot had JUST been talking to Francette about this, haha! }}“Well….”There’s a choked laugh stuck in Jeannot’s throat,“I’m….still a professor of the Scholasticate of Ishgard. And, while I have found resolve to pursue fashion a lot more fervently than I ever dreamed of, I don’t think I will ever stop being a wisdom-seeker…or a man of knowledge.”He shoves a hand into his face to brush back some unkempt strands, pushing them right in the flow of his cow-lick:“But for the sake of myself, and for my special someone…I’ll keep at this. I’ll start aspiring to expose my creative side, and make things that are…hopefully, as inspirational to other people as they are to me.”
