Originally a Bedoin Soundclash song, Jay and Beatrice rearranged it for this album, and subsequently it's one of my absolute favourites.

Also probably my favourite album cover ever.

Armistice - Jeb Rand

I found Armistice last year in another day of random music listens. I'm guessing by now you see a pattern here with how I find so many of these great groups we will have you listening to. Anyway, I was captivated by the harmonies of the duo and looked into them a bit. Come to find out, it is Jay Malinowski of Bedouin Soundclash and Beatrice Martin who goes by Coeur de pirate. They were working with Mariachi El Bronx and put out a fantastic EP. I'm hoping they decide to do more together as I know I (and you) will be listening!

Jeb Rand is this first song you'll hear and it is actually a cover of a song from Jay's band. His band's version is more stripped down reggae sounding while this version has a more western feel to it. I admittedly prefer this version which was part of why I chose it for you to hear. Also though, you'll get a chance to hear the harmonies these two put together and wonder a) why aren't the bigger? and b) when will we be getting more songs!?
