I'm not the original anon, but let me just say - we should start a club: People Who Can't Understand Kim Byungjoo. I'd be the first to join. But if you don't mind me asking, did anything happen recently that got you thinking? You mentioned he's been on your mind for a couple of days as of late... I just couldn't help wondering why!

Definitely sign me up!And good questions!  Honestly, I’ve been thinking about him since I wrote that meta about Hansol, Xero, and B Joo ages ago but felt I didn’t have anything valuable to say about B Joo.

Then recently I was looking at shoyeonji's gifset of Xero/B Joo/Jenissi and I hadn't thought about that dynamic before but those three hang out occasionally.  And at the concert Jenissi inserted himself into BRo’s moment.  So I was just thinking about how that dynamic might work and I ended up right back at B Joo again and how I can’t answer any of my own questions when they involve B Joo because I don’t really understand him.  Like shoyeonji’s gifset:  How do I begin to get this dynamic when I can’t answer the question—is this uncomfortable B Joo?  I don’t think Jenissi in particular is the kind of person who would continue to make someone uncomfortable if he knew he was doing so.  So is this B Joo joking around with them?  I mean in those last two gifs he springs right back to pleasantness.  Is he just being super tolerant of them or does he not care.  The difference between being tolerant of others’ actions and being unaffected by them is really significant and I don’t know which one it is.  And that’s just this one gifset, haha.
