Uncharted, Vol. 1

Uncharted is a column in which I discuss underdeveloped concepts and characters.

This is Jedda Gordon, who just might be the least famous member of her very large family right now. Interestingly, she was the first heroine introduced in DoE storytelling, but fans haven't written a great deal about her.

Of course, Marzena kind of did in a couple of her tales -- The Story Begins — Original Pilot and The Prince of Mongo -- which were supposed to present Jedda with a different name. Instead, those stories ultimately created an entirely new character (which was a good thing).

So what do we know about Jedda? She's a courageous member of the DoE, who mainly fights alongside fellow teens LJ and Kit. Her father is a famed space explorer and a skilled fighter pilot, which means that Jedda might be fond of aerial adventures herself. She has the power of telekinesis, possibly making her part alien, or the recipient of something that imbued her with the ability.

Rumor has it that she and Kit have romantic feelings for each other, which is complicated by the fact that he has a girlfriend back home in his village. Further complicating matters is Jedda's unexpected affection for Princess Castra, her secret ally in the team's battle against Ming -- who happens to be Castra's father.

Homosexuality and bisexuality haven't really been examined much in DoE tales, and I imagine that this bond would be a fascinating one.

Is Jedda Gordon something of a lost legend? Not quite. Fans still know who she is. She's just someone with a bit of untapped potential.

And now, here is the final arc for Sailor Moon Defenders, and hopefully, we get some closure here. (Only the stand-out characters will be tagged as tags have a limit)

The final arc begins when the Starlights and Princess Kakyuu try to fight Galaxia and Zorelda but fail. So then, Kakyuu flees to Earth before the Starlights are eliminated.

Kakyuu warns the Defenders and the Sailor Guardians about Sailor Galaxia and Zorelda.

Hsdea, Rick, and Jedda prepare the Netherworld for the enemy upon notification.

Baylin is nearly killed during a battle but lives to tell, and she loses her left arm in the process.

Rick is killed by Zorelda protecting Jedda and the twins, and Galaxia takes his Quasar star seed/sailor crystal.

Sailor Moon decides to deal with Galaxia and Zorelda at the Sagittarius Zero Star to save Rick; Mamoru gets killed by Galaxia moments later.

While the Outers check things out at their respective planets, the Inners decide to aid Sailor Moon, Sailor Chibi Chibi and Kakyuu on their quest. First Sailors Venus and Jupiter are eliminated, followed by Sailors Mercury and Mars.

Galaxia then takes out Sailors Pluto, Uranus and Neptune; before her death, Pluto sends Sailor Saturn to the future where she summons Sailor Chibi Moon and the Sailor Quartet to help her help Sailor Moon in the final battle.

Sailor Lethe and Sailor Mnemosyne are eliminated by Sailors Phi and Chi; Sailor Heavy Metal Papillion is eliminated by Sailor Saturn and Sailor Chibi Moon and her guardians; Sailor Phi is killed by Kakyuu, Sailor Chi kills Kakyuu and Sailor Moon eliminates Sailor Chi.

Then Sailor Moon has to fight evil versions of Mamoru and her friends and destroys them after they destroy Sailor Saturn.

Krotan sacrifices himself for Jedda during an intense battle, leading Jedda to obtain the Cosmos Chalice.

Jedda helps Chibi Chibi use the chalice to stop Galaxia from melting the Sailor Crystals in the Cosmos Cauldron.

Zorelda is eliminated for good when she tries to destroy Sailor Moon; Chibi Chibi reveals herself to be Sailor Cosmos.

Sailor Cosmos helps Sailor Moon heal Galaxia from the darkness and Galaxia decides to find a purpose in the universe with the second chance she was given.

Sailor Cosmos then sent Sailor Chibi Moon and the Sailor Quartet back to the 30th century before sending her powers to revive Rick, Mamoru, and the Sailor Guardians.

Months later, the Sailor Guardians return home to Juban and talk with the Defenders time to time.

Jedda and Rick are safely at the Netherworld ruling with their kids.

That's the conclusion of Sailor Moon Defenders.

Jedda Gordon and Duffy Gordon Aren't The Same

At least not in certain dimensions. And, you know what? That's a good thing.

All of this gets a little complicated, so I'll try my best.

First there was Jedda Gordon -- Flash Gordon's daughter from the original pilot for Defenders of the Earth.

She was, of course, scrapped for Jedda Walker, who became a major fan-favorite. It's almost unsettling to think of JW not being created now, but one has to wonder if Jedda Gordon would have become as popular.

Then, @marzena-doe decided to bring Jedda Gordon back for a couple of stories, but gave her a different name -- Duffy Gordon.

Then, I started using another Duffy Gordon in my tales, and declared that she was from a different dimension than the original Duffy -- who was actually the original Jedda.

...

Yeah, like I said, it's a bit complicated.

Did I mention Jedda Walker of Earth C?

Do you think "Cold War" might hint at Kit Walker and Jedda Gordon? Rick has a weather ring that Ming wants and gets stuck with Kshin while Jedda is in the action with LJ, Lothar and Mandrake.

I think so... don’t know where the ring fits in because neither Jedda Gordon or Kit Walker have reasons to have it (if I remember correctly Rick invented it? It’s been a while since I’ve seen the episode) but maybe there storyline was changed here so it was something else Ming wanted?  But yes it could have been easily Kit Walker and Jedda Gordon... From what we’ve been of Jedda Gordon, she’s hotheaded enough to act like Rick Gordon did in this episode.
