Top 5 Mara Jade moments.

Ohh, good one!

Walk in the Woods on Wayland.  Basically all of The Last Command, but particularly these scenes, Mara convinced to join them on the mission, infected by Luke’s idealism and her growing appreciation of him (she spends a lot of time “studying Luke’s profile” guys), the realisation that her whole life was a lie, and actually not only accepting that, but overcoming it.  Basically, congratulations on your fabulous character development.

Future sister-in-laws.  Mara and Leia working together during the Corellian trilogy (starting with Mara getting transferred to Leia’s cell because she was starting fights with other prisoners).  Their mutual distrust is a little OOC, but I love these two awesomeladies being capabaleladies together.  

Mama Bear Extraordinaire.  While I of course have issues with Sacrifice (well...with all of LOTF), they don’t include the no-holds-barred, fight to the death with Jacen, particularly when he realises that she Just Won’t Stop until she wins.  The only way Mara would ever go out was fighting tooth and nail.  Honorable mention for earlier in the book when she strolls into a Jedi meeting battered and bruised after a fight with Lumiya and then cracks wise about it. 

The Thaw.  Mara doesn’t hesitate to leap into action to thwart a kidnapping attempt on Leia’s baby twins, heedless of the fact that she is in no way on the New Republic’s side and she still totally wants to kill Luke you guys, no second thoughts whatsoever.

9. What is the longest fic you’ve read?

It’s either Children Wake Up or some Tortall fic about Kel that I read AGES ago. I should really dig that back up…

21. How and when did you get introduced to smut fic? Any horror stories?

Oh geeze. In high school probably? It was harder to find back then, haha. No real horror stories that I can think of aside from seeing some kinks out there that just make me blink and mash my backspace button. 

30. Favorite porn fic?

I’LL GIVE YOU TWO. Okay so And Baby, I Rule is one of my favorite Kylux fics ever because why yes Kylo DOES need to get fucked by Emperor Hux on the throne. 

AND THEN there’s My Blood Approves/And Kisses area better Fate because I did not know how badly I needed to read about Poe Dameron losing his virginity to Greer and being an adorable sex puppy until I read this.

44. How fluffy is too fluffy?

Depends on the ship? Generally speaking though, not too fluffy. There’s this very delicate line between sweet and oh my god this is just gross. Like… if the circumstance calls for it, I’m more likely to like fluffy stuff than just random “oh hey fluff without plot” fics. Again though, it does come back to the ship because my Space Marrieds lend themselves to fluff way more than the Murder Boyfriends.

12. favorite place to write

I don’t necessarily have one? I kinda write anywhere I can/have inspiration. That includes my living room, work, and (frequently since I discovered the Google Docs app) on the metro.

38. do you reread your own stories?

An embarrassing number of times, yes. Sometimes, it’s just to remind myself of what I’d written so I can make sure that I don’t conflict it in a later chapter/next story. And then sometimes it’s because I’m bored and I miss the characters. (It’s even more fun when you haven’t read them in a few years.)

'Something about volcanoes' is one of those fics I've reread multiple times cause it honestly just makes me happy so I think that might make it one of my favorites of yours.

So it's super old, but I still have bookmarked the Aberforth & Severus fic that you wrote ages ago, and it's definitely one of my favorites!

7. How much do you like symbolism in your fics?

I love it but I can’t write it worth shit. We’re lucky I pull off foreshadowing.

12. What’s the hardest thing to write for you?

Aside from specific characters? Well, I flat out refuse to write sex scenes because it makes me uncomfortable. Maybe filling in the details/connecting the larger plot points sometimes? Oh! I actually find action sequences tricky because they feel so repetitive.
