oh, how she missed this. galvanized by the oft alternating victory between the teams and a home game, the air in xcel energy center was indeed electric. and no better seats could be had than theirs up against the glass, thanks to joseph, except if she had been seated directly opposite beside the wild’s bench. yet, this was all the better for the maple leafs to hear joseph and lillian’s chirping. still ever so slightly jet-lagged, she remained content to simply cheer, nursing her coke with its blessed caffeine until the other woman leaned across her boyfriend. ❝ come on, margot, you haven’t said a thing! give them something... you! ❞
drawing in as deep of a breath as she could, margaret cupped her hands around her mouth and, ❝ you take that ice, boys! take it like montgomery took montreal in seventeen-seventy-five! ❞ oh, it was awful, but it was perfect, friends’ laughter piercing her ears even above the boisterous crowd. it was good to be home.
