In what some sources are calling "A shocking display of callous animal neglect," Hero H. Horse was left unfed this evening for at least half an hour after the farm's goats were stabled. Accustomed to receiving his dinner mere moments after the goats go into their stall, he was reportedly left whinnying pitifully as the farmer left the barnyard without feeding him.
When questioned, the farmer weakly claimed that a moment of forgetfulness earlier in the day led to Mr. Horse's mash not being taken to the house to be soaked with water.
This spurious claim was disputed by several bystanders in the chickenrun area, who noted that the farmer paid attention to the goats at least four times during the day and walked the dogs twice, time that could easily have been spent attending to Mr. Horse's dinner. It is unclear what further actions will be taken, but authorities now report that Hero's late dinner may be only the start. of a larger investigation.
