Jeff Widener and his photo of the Tiananmen Square protests of 1989, known in China as the June Fourth Incident (六四事件). His published photo is extremely well known but a similar, wider angle version of that moment has recently surfaced (top), which further underscores the staggering but simple bravery of that one man and his shopping bags.
