Forever ranting about the Broadway production (and many others) having Lucy a) attempt to sleep IN A CORSET and b) NOT use the BLOOD RED ROBE she literally just wore to cover a “stab wound” for her death scene, and instead, show her very clearly uninjured back to the audience. How... how do you miss these things? How?

My copy of this is in storage somewhere but someone else uploaded Act 2 of the Korean/Australian (in English) tour of J&H, with Brad Little revisiting the show after what, from what bits I’ve been able to find, was a fantastic regional production back in 2000 or so. But this one is... not my favourite by a long shot. They decided to make “a dance of death” literal in probably the most awkward possible way, and it’s actually hilarious. Like, they have the right general idea - the mirroring and puppeting and such - but it just doesn’t quite work. Fun watch just for the novelty (Synchronized rond de jambs! The drums are neat! The tempo actually builds somewhat!).
