JD Raises Branch AU

When John Dory receives word from his Grandma that Branch isn't doing so well, he feels obliged to go back. Just to check, just to make sure they were okay. He never expected this.

Basically, what if John Dory had no idea his other brothers had actually left? He returns to find Branch grey, malnourished and living alone outside the village, and he decides he has to step up and be the brother Branch needs him to be.

Featuring: a JD who is doing his best™, and a Branch who is 90% paranoia 10% guilt

My Art Fight

Who doesn't love a "no thoughts, head empty" good boy? 😊

When I was planning out some of my attacks earlier this Art Fight I was knew instantly that when I drew Fishie I would draw him as a merfolk, it was too perfect. I obviously had to give him a goldfish tail. And doing bone paint for a species that technically had two "ribcages" seemed too cool not to do.🧜🏾‍♂️

The jellyfish were inspired by the question of how to do Día de los Muertos art underwater... and what came to me is how spectral moon jellies look. In Purépecha legend it is actually small white butterflies who represent the departed, so translating that over to a jellyfish "bloom" seemed perfect.

Pictured here is I guess a moment of quiet awe and beauty at watching the souls float in the sea like stars in the sky 🌊 🌠

(should he be touching them? Probably not, but he'll be alright xD)
