The people who followed for try are staying though? I'm assuming, and that's cuz they're interested. No one has an obligation to follow anyone on this website. And also that tag always makes me sad. I CARE KL, I CARE ABOUT YOUR FEELINGS.

I’m sorry the tag makes you sad. I don’t WANT to make you sad. I want you to be happiest of all, Scarecrow! I’m just...managing my own expectations of things, as always, and trying to have my cake and eat it to re: protecting myself from what happens when you put yourself out there while also being incapable of NOT putting myself out there. I do! I did it before I can do it again. I’d rather not, but you know, maybe I shouldn’t have spent all this time not doing anything with my test scores if I didn’t want to be in this exact place again.

Just as a data point: I applied to 3 or 4 library schools (including Simmons, which is the closest one to us) and none of them required the GRE at the time. (And I had taken it and just chose not to give them my scores, so you've got options on that front.)

I’D RATHER GO TO IRELAND, HONESTLY. But yeah, that wouldn’t be a bad idea. I have a lot of mulling to do and some big decisions to make before I figure out what I need. 

And I do remember from when I was looking into all of this before that some of the schools I was applying to even then didn’t need GRE scores. I think maybe the University of Washington was the only one that really did need them, and it’s not exactly an option this time. Simmons WOULD be an option, because of proximity, and because I hear good things about their percentage of graduate job placement, but my circumstances and what I’m looking for in the field are probably different than those of someone who went right into grad school from their undergrad, so I’m bound to be an outlier there.

Maybe a prep class? Math is such a hell, so unnecessary and useless; I had stopped using GRE math by my first semester of college liiiiike. :P at least you've got lit & writing well covered though? Always cheering for you

I’ll just buy prep books and go through them on my own time. It worked for me before so it’ll probably work now. And you know, I don’t even know that I’m going to decide to go to grad school, or that I’d need the GRE if I did. There’s a lot of overwhelming stuff to look at. Pfah. Thank you. ♥

I know, right? I thought there was something really weird with their relationship during that interrogation room scene last season, but that last scene just did it for me. Plus, I don't seem to recall them ever mentioning their mom.

NONE OF THIS STORYLINE MAKES SENSE. It just makes my head hurt. And I feel like I'm gonna end up hating Kate more than Peter, which given how much I hate Peter is going to be impressive.

I'm genuinely starting to like Peter more even though he wasn't in the episode because for as questionable as aspects of his rebirth in season two were, at least it makes more sense now that we know Lydia is a banshee. And the fact that there might be something special about Peter (especially considering he's spawning werejaguars and werecoyotes and true alphas) makes it a little easier for me to believe now that he could recognize Lydia for what she was before even she could. it was skeevy as hell, but in retrospect it fits more than it did at the time.

THAT SAID.

I cannot let go of the completely out-of-character plot point that Kate was not cremated. I don't get why a family of hunters -- why ANY hunters -- would not cremate their dead. Hell, I don't get why they didn't cut Kate in half just in case. Chris has a conversation with his sister about whether or not a werewolf's scratch can change you and then doesn't cover his ass when his sister dies by a shifter's claws? The Chris Argent I know wouldn't take that chance.

And what gets me isn't just that the Argents didn't cremate her or cut her in half, but that the Mexican hunters didn't, either. I mean, I understand if you might be emotionally unable to bring yourself to cut your own sister in half, but these hunters clearly know each other, so why not have them come in and ensure that your sister won't become a creature you despise?

What makes me wonder now is that Chris or Gerard might have arranged just that, but the Mexican hunters kidnapped her instead. Or that he or Gerard intentionally asked them to swap out the bodies to have her kill herself, but ... but WHY?! To punish her for her actions by making her become what she hated most? Did either one of them genuinely think a mentally ill mass murderer and serial killer was going to be punished by being given the ability to be even MORE deadly? Really?

I mean, this entire storyline makes the Argents and the Mexican hunters look stupid, and up until this point they've been generally pretty clever. Cruel at times, definitely, but not dumb enough to do this "honorable" bullshit where Kate has to kill herself, or whatever.

Even if I liked Kate -- and I still don't; seriously, look at that baby face at the end and keep in mind that's what Kate seduced in order to kill his family -- this entire plotline is (as it stands) utter OOC bullshit. And it's going to take the most agile series of backflips plot-wise for it to make ANY sense whatsoever.

Literally the only good thing that's come out of it as far as I'm concerned is that maybe this means we can have Victoria back. If I can't have Allison back, I'd love to have Victoria (and Eaddy) back on the show, especially now that Allison's dead and Chris's priorities have changed. She'd be brilliant.

I'm not one of the most awesome. YOU'RE ONE OF THE MOST AWESOME. You're a joy all of the fucking time, even when you think you're not, and I'm incredibly happy to have you in my life. I wish I could be there for you physically all of the time, because I think about you all the time and I want you to be happy. It frustrates me when I can't make things just happen for you. But one of the many good things about you is that you absolutely don't need me to make things happen for you, because you've got it all handled. I know you don't think you do sometimes, but you're a seriously capable person with an excellent attitude and I learn from you all of the time.
