BlueWhaleJester on Art Fight, I’m fighting for Team Comedy with my personas, Yippee and Huzzah (who is also acting mascot), as well as my original characters, Mak, Dani, Percy, Min-Ali, and Malek in tow!
Well, it came out alright despite using the funky inks.
If I had used my nice black, it probably wouldn't have filled in so many of the small details. I guess next time, I'll have to carve some of the fine lines deeper. I may try to go over some of the ones that got filled in and see if it helps in the short term...
The texture out of the tube isn't horrible though it's a bit too thick so I have to recondition them when I squeeze them out. The actual issue with these inks is that they dry too quickly and it really messes up the texture if you're pulling more than one or two prints, so I have to constantly be reconditioning them as I'm printing and it's suuuuch a pain in the butt.
I normally mix in some black with the blue and it improves the texture and drying issues, but it's MIA...
Dearest solid black printing ink, I miss you more every day. Though it has only been two score hours since I have known you to be misplaced, it feels as if I may never see you again...
I bought a bunch of nice colors of stamp pads hoping I could use them with my little linoleum blocks but they don't hold the thinner inks as well as the rubber does. Oh well. Live and learn. *plays a sick guitar riff and then grinds away on a rail*
