6. What’s the most difficult word for you to say in your native & target languages?

I couldn’t pronounce onomatopoeia for the loooongest time and I honestly still can’t spell it properly ( I just had to google it, too :””D ), but thankfully it’s easier in French…

15. Why are you learning your target language(s)?

I started learning French when I was 3 because my mom wanted me to be able to speak it, but I’ve kept with it every year since it was no longer mandatory by law because I’d been learning it for so long I don’t want to lose it~

I’ve been learning Tagalog because my mom’s side speaks Taglish all the time, and I want to be able to understand them and talk with them without them having to constantly switch to English with me.

My mom wants to learn Portuguese bc she eventually wants to apply for dual citizenship, so when she starts I’m going to learn with her, and it’ll also be a way for me to learn about another one of my backgrounds~

As for Spanish… A bunch of French teachers I’ve had have suggested learning Spanish before since they’re close enough, but I didn’t have much motive to do so then. But since I plan on learning Portuguese, and I already know French, and a Spanish prof at my uni gave me a bunch of Spanish learning books/materials for free, I’ve decided to give it a try. …Also there’s a jp series I really like whose only official translation atm is in Spanish…..

It’s nice, the last time I went it was too cold and I always get sand EVERYWHERE. But I like it.

TbH it depends ENTIRELY on what my mood is. Right now I’m listening to electroswing.

Heliconia: Do you like when it rains?

I love it! rain just feels so cozy and refreshing at the same time. We only get about ~18in of moisture a year. A good amount of which is snow. I wish it rained here more often. But I’m always glad when it does.

Magnolia: Favorite kind of candy?

I love gummy candies. Black Forest fruit snacks are amazing. Peach rings. strawberry puffs. Gushers.

Oh my god I did the Language Pod101 thing with Vietnamese and I understand it so well, it even has a PDF of the notes so I can read it cause reading Vietnamese is easier for me and parents being here for me to practice on them and I actually learned words.

33. Name five facts about yourself.1. I used to play the harp. Stopped once I graduated from high school but I want to get back into it casually without the pressure of lessons.2. I have 3 younger sisters. So it’s just a big family of girls.3. I’m demisexual. Questioning my romantic orientation. But I know I’m demisexual at least!4. I was raised Mormon. Which doesn’t seem like much of a fact considering I live in Utah. But I suppose that’s interesting or unusual for pretty much everywhere else.5. A lot of my passion for animals was fueled by watching shows on Animal Planet as  pre-teen and teen like Growing Up, Big Cat Diary, Animal Cops, etc. Those were the main ones I really fell in love with though.43. Whom do you admire and why?

This is really hard to say... I guess someone I admire is Emily Graslie from thebrainscoop. She just has such a vibrant personality and passion and I really admire her hard work. I thought about going into art for a while too but am pursuing science and animals. So I just look up to that I guess?

22: You get to redesign the whitehouse. Describe how your fabulous revisions would make it look?

First of all, get rid of that horribly rectangular shape it's not very nice looking. I want angles, pointed roofs, beautifully Gothic fences. The columns can stay cause I like columns. Don't know what the inside looks like but there better be a library with comfy chairs and all the fantasy books. The political books are off on the other side of the white house. Otherwise I don't know how to change the White House to not make it my own personal little palace.
