Oh gosh, sure! Promptis fics are like 90% of what I’ve been reading lately, lol

Obviously I don’t know what you like, so I’ll just list some of my absolute favorites I guess:

you’re daylight breaking over my horizons (i rise every day to see you) by earlgrey_milktea (@puddingcatbae on tumblr) is a fantastic (and ongoing!) series of fluffy promptis one-shots. each chapter is 100% soft wholesome organic promptis, perfect if you need a gentle pick-me-up.

@brosura has some amazing fluffy funny happy fics (some with a dash of angst mixed in here and there, some just pure fluff all the way through.) my favorite is probably even princes get the drunchies which is pretty much exactly as fantastic as the title makes it sound, but I’m also a huge fan of marry your best friend, but like literally which also features some excellent dad Regis and some (eventual) excellent dads Noctis and Prompto. really, all her stuff is great.

Guys Being Dudes, Dudes Being Bros by tridentseverywhere is a great comedic fic where the Lucian media fails to pick up on the fact that Noctis and Prompto are dating. it definitely made me laugh anyway.

it’s more of a promptis friendship fic than a shippy thing, but I absolutely have to rec @asidian​‘s Running Behind if you’re looking for angst and hurt-comfort. It features mt!Prompto and a lot of discussions of past abuse and trauma (and some violence in the later chapters) but it’s really sensitively and beautifully written. in general, Asidian has a lot of really terrific Prompto and Promptis-centric fics you can check out if you like that good mix of hurt and recovery.

Salad Days by chikelo is an ongoing fic that I’ve gotten into recently. it’s a very heavy fic that deals with Prompto having an eating disorder and severe self-esteem issues (as well as some mentions of Noctis having depression and some self-image issues of his own) and how these factors affect the beginnings of their relationship with each other. it does have it’s brighter moments, though, and I’m very invested in chikelo’s depiction of their relationship, so if that all sounds like your jam I think you should check it out.

in that same vein, I’m gonna suggest Unpretty by howlsawiz (@never-asked-tobe-made on tumblr.) this is another great fic about Prompto’s complicated relationship with food and with himself, and how that affects his relationship with Noctis. (also it’s written by my friend and dateperson Tib and I really just want everyone to read their writing and give them all the encouragement ever because they really really deserve it)

also also (because what is the internet for if not shameless self-promotion) if you didn’t know I also write fic! I post pretty much all of it on my AO3. I’m Jellyfishline there, too, and I write very very slowly, but sometimes I post stuff and maybe that stuff will make you happy?

I swear every time I learn something new about ‘female anatomy’/uterus-having reproductive systems I am filled with a burning rage and a deep desire to peel off my own skin

why. why does it feel like the human reproductive system is this gross disgusting alien thing that I can’t get rid of no matter how much I want to. is it just because of the rampant misinformation and shame surrounding it? would I stop hating getting my period so much if it was considered a normal unimportant part of daily life? I don’t know. the unfairness of it just... fucks me up. cis guys don’t have to deal with this shit. they aren’t attacked by their own anatomy and hormones every month. they don’t have to endure horrific pain to bring new life into the world.

every time I think about it it’s like those disgusting misogynists out there are right, because why on earth does this exist? why does half of humanity have to suffer like this for literally no fucking reason, just because evolution couldn’t think of a more efficient way to do things, or like, because having a reproductive system isn’t a personal choice. I just want it to be a choice.

One of the strangest parts of tumblr/internet culture to me is this thing where Person A posts/reblogs a thing and then an anon tells Person A “that thing isn’t real/hasn’t been proven/is problematic” and then Person A immediately accepts what they’re saying

like

without asking for sources. without researching the thing themselves. just, taking the word of an anon in their inbox on face value exactly the way they took the initial post on face value. I just. I don’t get it.

like, I get reblogging stuff without necessarily verifying the information first (I’ve certainly been guilty of that before and probably will be again in the future, though I’m not proud of it :p). when so much information comes at you every time you log onto your dash it can be really difficult to sort through it all yourself.

but like, why would you immediately assume that a random stranger on the internet is more trustworthy than a random post on the internet? they seem equally untrustworthy to me and I’d handle both with the same amount of caution and skepticism. wouldn’t you at least ask the anon to give you a source before you believed them idk.
