i used to love jelveils sm. the concept was neat and the lore was super interesting to me. the owner was friendly and always made some changes here and there to allow better accessibility for FTO while also giving AO a treat here and there.

ever since the owner stepped down and a new one took place things have just been dead silent, the new owner doesnt do shit. i feel like hes super hypocritical as well sometimes. who the hell just makes up rules on the spot just because you didnt like how a redesign looks? what a dick move.

I do want to state while this is true, and would be fine, although it’s important to note that indeed Jelveils’ new owner is hypocritical, given how they have a extension of it extending to permitting minors if by acquaintance.

The problem here is the double standard of it in my honest opinion.

(I don’t mind sending proof but also it’s in the person’s profile warning so.)

Not defending Jelveils at all but there’s a difference between “minors DNI” as a personal thing on your TH versus working in a community that’s open to minors. My TH account has the hard maturity block enabled and a “Minors DNI” warning because I don’t want minors trying to buy from me due to it being against PayPal’s ToS, I’ve had past issues with minors regarding art trades, and my characters contain mature content that isn’t suitable for people under the age of 18. Despite that I’m still a moderator in Discord communities that are open to minors. It’s entirely possible to keep your personal stuff private/18+ and still deal with or work with minors in a community setting.

Most adults IRL that work jobs involving minors are the same. You can interact with and get along with minors in the workplace but that doesn’t mean you can’t have a private, minor-free life outside of it. I don’t know why you’d find that “ironic” or weird.

I find it funny how the new owner of jelveils has “minors dni” when they literally work with a minor and majority of the people in jelveils are minors!

my fave part is the previous owner stepping down without solving any of it and the staff allowed to have no repercussions whatsoever

just give up on the species by this point

this was entirely the mod's fault and i can't believe they're the ones least affected by all of this. no one in power did anything to remedy it all they did was say 'my condolences' and do nothing to make it better
