COMING THIS CHRISTMAS: A children's book about gay interracial marriage, "Santa's Husband". Via @celebteanews: #DanielKibblesmith, a comedy writer, is producing a new children’s book with Harper Design that will feature #SantaClaus like you’ve never seen him before: as a Black, #gay man in an #interracial relationship. ______________________ Kibblesmith had the idea after the Mall of America faced backlash for having a Black Santa and then tweeted out, “Me & #JenAshleyWright have decided our future child will only know about Black Santa. If they see a white one we’ll say ‘That’s his HUSBAND.'” ______________________ "My fiancée [author Jennifer Wright] and I joked privately, and then on Twitter, that since every house has its own traditions and lore surrounding Christmas, we would tell our child that the black Santa Claus was the ‘real’ Santa,” he said. “If they saw a white Santa at the mall, we’d explain that this was his husband.” ______________________ He said that after the tweet started to garner thousands of retweets and likes, he realized that “there was genuine interest in this book becoming a reality.” Thus, #SantasHusband was born.
