Sandwich.
A loud beeping sound pierce through the silence in the room. Jennie shot up from the ground to pick up her ringing phone on the table instantly.
"Hello?" she said, or rather, whispered.
"Hey babe," a familiar voice came through and almost immediately, she felt butterflies in her stomach. "I'm downstairs right now."
"Shoot, give me 5 minutes okay?" she begged, her hands reaching towards her makeup bag. "I need to get ready."
He chuckled softly at her words. "Alright, see you soon."
--
She had a scarf wrapped around her neck, covering her lips and nose at the same time. She peered around, making sure that there's no suspicious people before she hurriedly walked towards the car and opened the door to greet her beloved boyfriend.
"Kai!" She squealed, shutting the door behind her before leaning in for a hug and a peck on his cheek. "I missed you!"
"I missed you too," he laughed, rubbing her back softly. "Let's go over to the park shall we?"
--
It's been at least a month since the duo started seeing each other more than friends. With their status of being an idol, maintaining a relationship was tough on the both of them but they are still managing it well at the moment. Having to dodge from crowds and going on late dates was becoming a norm for them and they are slowly getting used to the whole thing.
"Hey babe," Kai smiled at her before interwining their hands together. "Do you remember how I slide into your sandwich?" He laughed.
"Of course I do!" she pouted. "I almost ate the paper." she chuckled, swinging their arms gently as they enjoy the cool wind of the night while strolling through the park.
"I was so afraid you wouldn't even contact me because of our management companies' relationship." he let out a loud sigh before pulling her hand towards him to plant a kiss on the back of her hand. "But thankfully, you did."
"Honestly, Lisa sent the text on my behalf because I didn't know what to do." She blurted and started grinning at the memory.
"But, I really did have a crush on you heh."
"Really? Me too!" Kai blurted out excitedly. "Damn, I guess we are really meant to be then."
They let out a soft chuckle before continuing their walk to the spot where they had their first date.
"Quick, sit down." Kai ushered her, guiding her to the nostalgic bench at a corner.
He then pulled out a small warmer bag from his bagpack that he was carrying around the whole time and set it on the table. Jennie looked at him, confused.
"Guess what I bought?" He grinned cheekily, before pulling out sandwiches from the little bag. "Inki sandwiches!"
Jennie burst out laughing at his excitement.
"Aww babe, that's so sweet." She chuckled before leaning over to give him a quick peck on his cheeks.
He hand over the sandwich to her and smiled as she unwrapped the plastic wrapping to eat it. He held back his laughter when she noticed a piece of paper stuck inbetween the sandwich. Jennie eyed him suspiciously before pulling the paper out to read it.
Happy monthsary, I love you.
"I mean, I guess having notes stuck inbetween sandwiches is our 'thing' so..." Kai shrugged while grinning.
Jennie just smiled before giving him a hug.
"It's our thing, silly." She grinned. "I love you too."
