IS NOW: Alexandra Jendroska Re-elected President
At the end of a complicated, and sometimes contested race, incumbent President of the Coalition States Alexandra Jendroska has retained her presidency, defeating popular opposition candidate Governor Sylvia Sammada by a narrow margin in Sunday’s election.
Governor Sammada, favorite candidate of both Foundation and Homeland parties, remains in critical condition today, receiving care at an as-yet undisclosed location for mutagenic chemical weapon exposure received at a political rally in New Chicago on election night. Questions continue to mount as to what the Governor was doing at the opposition party rally for Jendroska in New Chicago’s troubled Ukrainian Village neighborhood. While reports of terrorist attack and covert action are unsubstantiated at this time, the continued absence of Governor Sammada, and the lack of formal concession have been increasingly hot topics in the Feed Commons.
When questioned about the current state of strained affairs between the sovereign corporate states within the Coalition, and the recent public disturbances in the West Zone of New Chicago, President Jendroska offered this: “2325 has been a hard year for the Coalition States, and this past Summer has been one of the most difficult in our history. But we are adapting to these new crises, and I will redouble my efforts to make New Chicago the safe, shining capital city that the Coalition States deserve. And let me be clear: that includes the West Zone. Thank you.”
