I always hate saying things like this but I lost a grandmother to lung cancer a few years ago. She and I weren't very close but it tore my dad apart. I know nothing can be the same as what you're facing but you have people. I'll support you the best I can from afar as I'm sure many others will.

I’m sorry to hear that about your own grandmother. Personally I’ve never been super close to this particular granny (I have more than a couple due to marriages ending and remarriages and what not), but she is a sweet woman, and I probably became closer to her in my adult life than I ever did when I was little. So far I’ve never had a family member this close to me die before-- it’s always been distant relatives that I barely knew, so this has been kind of odd, having to face death in such a way. It’s never easy, no matter who is going through it. 

Either way I’ve rambled enough, and I want to thank you again for being so sweet. I’m not sure what I would do without you or the many members of my online family.
