Because Andy’s kids are directly from their fairy mother, whereas it seemed to skip a generation in Sookie’s case.
I don't know, it just seems a little hinky to me? Maybe I'm just having a hard time grasping the differences when True Blood has veered so much from the novels. (I have not been particularly happy how the show has handled the fae aspects of Sookie.)

It may be different for Sookie as she’s not half fae just a descendant of someone who was.

Thank you! I had completely forgotten that Niall had said that, especially since I am used to knowing that in the books Sookie's Fae grandfather is a "pureblood" Fae instead of half.

Sookie isn’t fully half! And we don’t know if Ben grew at a ridiculous rate cause he hasn’t mentioned it n.n
In regard to Sookie, that would make sense. However, I'm leaning toward Ben having grown and lived a life similar to Sookie's based on their (admittedly limited) interaction so far.
