zeppelin wanders into the living room with his ipad and sits on the adjacent couch. you put your book down, eyes glancing toward him before searching for his shadow for the day. however, the child came alone. you don't think much of it and continue reading. but after almost an hour, your mind drifts as the little boy's giggles fill the silent room.
“where’s dad?” you call over to the little boy.
he looks up from his device and answers, “he’s still in my room.”
your brows wrinkle, wondering what he could’ve been doing (alone) for the last hour. curiosity pulls you off the couch and towards zepp’s room. the hallway leading to his bedroom is quiet, and at this rate, you aren’t sure what to expect. the door is open, revealing your husband sprawled out on the floor, piecing together the newest star wars lego set jensen had gotten his son earlier in the day. you knew one of his hobbies was building legos with zeppelin, but now, you’re starting to think part of him really buys it so he can build it himself without the teasing of the three women in his life. jensen’s so into it that he jumps a little when you speak.
“having fun there, daddy?”
his head snaps up, his eyes wide before glancing at the section of the millennium falcon in his hands. “we were just...”
he turns to where zepp had sat earlier, only to discover his son missing.
“he’s been in the living room for almost an hour.”
“oh.”
a smile pulls at your lips when his cheeks glow. you walk towards your partner, and he watches your hips sway. he lowers the project to his side, his hands around your waist the moment you straddle him. you brush a strand of hair behind his ear so you can gaze into his gorgeous eyes. he stares back lovingly, waiting for you to say your peace.
“you’re the hottest grown man to play with legos—ever.”
his brows lift in surprise, not expecting your response. he anticipated teasing or mocking, even. you would've if he hadn't looked so damn cute.
“i build legos, sweetheart. i play with your...” his thumb runs along your clothed lips until it stops at your clit, and you squirm when he adds pressure.
“mm, my mistake.”
“damn right.”
his lips smash against yours, the kiss turning heated fast. but just as quickly as it began, it ends when he flips you over, laying you onto the carpeted floor, and onto his finished portion. you gasp, and he curses before you both sit up to look at the destruction.
ignoring the unique pain only legos can cause, you offer, “want me to help you rebuild it?”
a large smile consumes his face and he’s touched that you actually cared. he hadn’t had that before.
“i’d love that.”
and so, the hobby that was meant to be between his son and himself, then expanded to you and him.
a/n : ofc it was so cute i had to write a drabble about it! if y’all don’t know what i’m talking about, go check it out.
summary: you knew how to throw the best parties. and for jensen, that was no exception. a small yet humble birthday party in your shared home with friends and family. knowing you, you knew how to be unpredictable. instead of cleaning up around the house now with everyone gone; you decide it’s your time to give him the best birthday present he could’ve ever asked for.
you and jensen had a significant age difference. he was older than you but you were both adults and he loved you just as much as you could’ve. dating for a few years now and constantly being surrounded in the world of his fame and the life that came with it.
and what better way to spoil your boyfriend with a birthday party. nothing too extravagant but just filled with the right amount of fun for everyone. you were a perfectionist to say the least and you weren’t going to disappoint at all. especially not for jensen.
breakfast in bed? check. cooking just the best food for jensen and him giving you many kisses. he wanted more but you didn’t let him.
arranging the house? check. he had to film on his own day which meant advantage to place balloons and all decorations. giving you enough time to bake the gorgeous vanilla cake just for him.
rsvp’s weeks prior to his birthday party? check. you made sure to get in contact with your family, his family and his closest group of friends for a cozy birthday celebration.
preparing food and drinks beforehand? check. you had made sure to get the best cuts of meat for a nostalgia barbecue for dinner. making sure to get the best wine and drinks for anyone else to enjoy.
surprising jensen the moment he walked in the door?
check.
the lights all turned off inside. jensen walking into a dark home, only to turn the lights on and reveal everyone shouting surprise to him. and of course, you appearing with the biggest smile on your face.
being showered in hugs. a table filled with various gifts for him. the balloons and decor scattered beautifully around the house. the grill outside with the barbecue all prepared for the guests to eat. surrounded by family and friends and his girlfriend, jensen knew he struck gold with you.
conversations and laughter. stories of jensen when he was a child. party games and some drinking games to hammer down the fun. a proper barbecue and all the side dishes that you had cooked. he doesn’t know how you did it but you certainly didn’t disappoint.
and probably what he loved the most, was the birthday cake. for him, 47 made him feel just much older than he already was. but knowing the support he had— he couldn’t ask for anything else. the beautiful vanilla cake filled with a mix of strawberries and cherries stashed on top. a beautifully written note on the cake just for him. jensen blowing out those candles knowing that he had so much love and support around him.
jensen’s birthday party was a success. another successful record knowing that your boyfriend was happy. but you weren’t entirely happy. yes, you had made the cake and made the barbecue and set everything around the house.
a trash bag in your hand and a broom to make sure that the floor was dusted clean. from the various drinking games or little mess on certain surfaces. you were wearing a long red dress that covered you up fully.
jensen was outside saying goodbye to his parents and to some of his closest friends. you smiled a bit as you briefly glanced out the window. he genuinely seemed so happy and the fact you were the planner for everything made it all better.
picking up a few items into the trash bag and using the broom to get rid of the dust on the floor. hearing the front door of your shared home open before closing with a click. jensen just chuckled behind you a bit as he saw you clean.
“babe. you don’t have to do this all tonight. you’ve already done enough for me. i can clean up here.”
he sighed softly and hugged you from behind. ready to pick the broom and trash bag off your hands, but you protested.
“no. you don’t need to be doing anything else. i can handle it.”
you laughed a bit and turned your head around to look at his handsome face. pressing a few gentle kisses onto his face. being careful to not stain his face yet as the red lipstick you had on was potent as it was.
he hummed gently and surrendered himself.
“fine. i won’t be doing any hard labor tonight then. but, you’ve been rather secretive about my gift from you.”
he spoke as he leaned by the couch. taking a small sip from his glass of wine as he watched you clean.
“that’s because it’s a surprise, babe. the whole party was one big surprise. but, my gift to you is a major surprise.”
you chuckled softly and teased him. now that it was just you two at home. no parents or friends around, that it would be perfect for the second part of the evening.
finally removing all the trash and dusting the floor. heading outside to drop the trash bag off and heading back inside the house.
“alright, babe. now the secret surprise of mine is ready. but first, put this blindfold on. keep it on until I tell you to open.”
you grabbed the black blindfold from the nearby counter. placing it in his palms and a sly smile on your face.
“you’re really unpredictable, you know? but, i trust you.”
he laughed to himself and grabbed the blindfold you placed on his palm. wrapping it around his head and making sure it covered his eyes so the only thing he could see was dark.
once you made sure that he was fully covered, you knew it was showtime.
letting one hand go towards the zipper at the back of the dress. letting the long, red material slip from your body until it reached the floor. revealing the beautiful white corset. lacey material making your body look like heaven. down under, the lace material through a gorgeous garter belt.
the cake was currently resting on the coffee table. quietly walking towards the couch and laying down seductively. reaching over to grab a cherry from the cake and taking a small bite.
“you can take blindfold off, jensen.”
you spoke his name in a small seductive drawl. watching him remove it off. and once he did, he inhaled a breath. his adam’s apple bobbing at the sight of you. you. his gorgeous girlfriend in a corset and garter belt. a sight only for him.
“surprise, my love.”
you whispered and took another sensual bite of the cherry. a bit of the juice hit your cheek a bit. teasing jensen and licking it off with a flick from your tongue.
he was slowly walking over to you. his eyes dead set on you and his lust for you at all high.
“I gotta say.. this might be the best thing ever.”
his chuckle was gravelly that it made your skin shiver. he immediately got on top of you before you surprised him once more and flipped him off so that your body straddled his lap.
“no. let me make this perfect for you.”
you whispered in his ear. taking another bite of the cherry before placing it down. crashing your lips against his in a passionate kiss that made his stomach flutter. kissing you back with that same passion. his hands on your back and running up and down the smooth skin of yours. eyes closed as both of you were kissing each other with the same hunger. but you were being the dominant one this time. his eyes were closed and you were already pleasuring him so easily. his hand went towards your thigh this time. gripping it under his palm as the two of you made out.
moans, gasps, and mouth to mouth kisses. tongues wrapped around each other as the two of you were kissing each other like life depended on it.
pulling away from the steamy kiss between both of you. a sly smirk on your lips. taking another bite of the cherry. a devilish idea forming in your head.
you kept yourself sat on his lap. his hand gripping your thigh and feeling the lace material within his fingers. you grabbed some of the cake frosting. the cake was already cut in half either way. taking some of the frosting in your fingers. placing some of the cold frosting onto the side of your neck. a little on the collarbone. and finishing it off by placing some of the frosting onto your lips.
jensen smirked a bit as he saw the seductive act you were throwing. immediately sticking his tongue out in slow motions and licking off the frosting from your lips before catching them in a kiss. feeling shivers running down your skin.
next, he angled his head over the side of your neck. immediately spreading kisses before sucking onto the spot with the creamy frosting. you moaned softly as you felt the contact of his lips and his tongue darting out to lick off the frosting.
he gently bit along the spot to tease which made your hand instinctively grip his hair within my hand. then, he moved towards the frosting on your collarbone. he let his eyes look up at yours. his tongue darting out and slowly licking off the frosting like a starved man. you bit your lip as the erotic sight was making you wet.
once he finished, he caught your lips once more to kiss you again. this time, his hand went towards the back of your corset to peel it off of you. you didn’t let him stop and you took advantage to remove him off of his shirt. unbuttoning it and peeling it off of him. revealing his chest which would’ve seen so many times. running your hand up and down as you were grinding against his body.
your other hand was sneaky enough to grab a little bit of frosting and placing it by his abdomen. pulling your lips away against his and leaning your head down towards his chest. doing the same eye contact towards his green eyes as you licked him clean like a lollipop. he grunted and his grip on you was tight. his one hand was removing the zipper on the corset and throwing it aside. leaving you topless for him.
being the sneaky devil that you were, you knew he was digging the whole frosting thing. so, you placed some frosting right between your chest. placing some of it on your breasts and right by your stomach. you decided to remove off his belt off and his pants. freeing his aching cock. he smirked as he saw the frosting placed over your upper body.
one hand immediately placed onto his cock which made him hold back a groan. and his lips and tongue immediately hitting the sweet frosting between your breasts. you moaned as you felt his tongue go in rapid motions to lick the frosting off. even wiping it all clean on each breast and down towards your stomach. his eyes filled with so much lust for you.
you gently pumped him in your hand before moving it up and down. he grunted and with one swift motion, he removed off the garter belt. leaving you fully bare for him. he removed your hand and held it back. using his own to move your now bare and wet core so it would be on his cock.
your skin was getting sweaty. your eyes were half lidded as you looked at the man you loved. giving him his birthday present on your behalf.
you moaned, he moaned. the two of you holding each other like a lifeline. his hand running up and down your body as your hands were gripping his back. he reached over the cake. taking a strawberry in his mouth to bite and holding it with his teeth. leaning over to your mouth so you’d bite it from one side and the other and once the strawberry was fully eaten, a kiss so intense and his body hitting all your sweets spot.
“i love this birthday gift, babe… so wet, so dominant, so reciprocal for me.”
he grunted between thrusts as you couldn’t help the sounds of pleasure falling off your lips. you took a breath and smirked at him with a smile.
“anything for my birthday boy.”
you whispered and went even more rough with you thrusting. moving up and down on him like a rodeo. taking all of him like he deserved. the living room filled with grunts, gaps, and moaning in the comfort of your shared home.
you gasped louder as you felt your body give in. your head rolling back and letting yourself release with jensen following right behind you. removing yourself off of his cock. your pussy swollen and probably would be for days. a dazed look in his eyes yet a small smile.
“thank you, baby.”
he spoke as his chest moved heavily as he caught his breath. his arms still wrapped around you as he just held you close to him.
this entire evening was the best moment of his life. you made this the best birthday ever for him.

Jensen.
Jensen’s thumb rubbed over the Family Business logo etched in his now empty beer glass. “Not closing, just relocating.” He told him self as his eyes scanned the walls of his office, landing back on the computer showing a real estate website.
“Yeah.” He called out when he heard the knock on the door.
“Mr. Ackles…”
He smiled at the sound of her voice. “Hey baby, How was your meeting?”
“Boring,” she said, making him chuckle. “Ya know, this is a nice office you got here,” she told him closing the door.
“Yea, makes a big difference when you actually decorate it, “he teased, giving her a smirk.
She glared over her shoulder as her fingers turned the lock, making his eyebrows raise. “Tell me something…” she pondered sauntering over to his desk.
“What’s that, sweetheart?”
“How many blowjobs have you received in this room?”
He licked his lips as his cheeks warmed, holding up a zero with his hand. Swiveling in his chair he followed her as she walked to his side of the desk.
“Now… I don't believe that.” she rejected as she loomed over him, pushing the back of the chair down slightly.
“Do you think now is really the best time?” he stammered. “There’s a lot of people-”
“I don’t care,” she whispered in his ear. A wave of heat washed over him when her hand started rubbing his cock though his jeans.
She captured his lips in hers, stifling his moans as the pace of her hand increased.
He leaned forward, following her lips as she knelt in front of him, his fingers twisting in her hair as the kiss deepened. His tongue pushed past her lips as it rolled in to hers, making those sweet little whimpers escape her throat.
His pulse quickened as her fingertips found his belt buckle, shifting his weight she pulled down his jeans along with his boxers.
A grunt rumbled in his chest as she took his hard dick in her hands, making it louder as she started to stroke. The heat pooled in his stomach as he relaxed, letting the pleasure consume him.
A smile played on his lips as she brought her mouth to him, flicking his tip with her tongue.
His hand twisted in her hair, pulling it out of her face as her pretty lips wrapped around his cock, making the tension in his spine start.
A grunt rippled out of his throat as those lips sank all the way down, taking his full length into her mouth “Fuck baby,” he moaned as she worked her way back up to the tip, “you suck my dick so good.” She increased the pace, making his fingers grip in her curls.
The tension got stronger with every suck, every giggle that vibrated along his shaft, and every time she made him him the back of her throat, he didn’t know how much longer he could last.
He bucked his hips when the jingle of the door handle startled him, causing her to gag. “I’m sorry, baby.” She pulled his dick out for a second, then with a cute little smirk slid him back in her mouth.
“Yo, Jensen!” someone yelled with a knock, she still didn't stop. “We need to know where to set up the instruments.”
“Baby,” he stammered. Her giggles vibrated through his cock, sending a shiver down his spine. “It’s fine… just... where-” Slurping noises filled the air and she bobbed her head faster “Fuck. Right.. there.”
“Jensen?”
“I'll be out in a minute!” he shouted.
Another giggle pushed the tension to it’s peak. “Don’t... Stop,” he managed through breathy pants. “I’m gonna-” and with a swirl of her tongue the tension released, she swallowed as his cum filled her mouth.
Her lips twisted into a mischievous smile after she wiped the corners of her mouth.
His eyebrows raised. “My turn!”
Reader.
A small gasp pushed passed your lips as your bare ass hit the top of his desk. “Jensen, you should probably go-” His lips pressed against yours, cutting off your words.
“Do you really want me to go?” he asked as he dragged his fingertips through your folds.
“No,” you whined as the desire thrummed your veins.
“I didn’t think so,” he whispered, sliding two fingers deep inside of you, making you cry out his name.
His lips trailed down your neck as he started pumping his fingers, looking down as you leaned back on your hands, his jade eyes were staring back up at you. Your head lifted, crying out his name as his tongue flicked against your clit.
You heard his chuckles when you moved your core closer to him, trying to feel his tongue again. His tongue started lapping at your clit, sending pleasure through every ounce of your body.
Taking the nub into his mouth he gently dragged his teeth on the sensitive flesh as he sucked. “Ah, Jensen,.” you whined. You could feel the tension start to build as he continued.
“Ackles?!” You heard Jared’s voice through the door.
“Don’t you dare…” you warned him, earning another chuckle.
You could feel the tension starting to build as his tongue continued to ravish you. Your walls clenched around his fingers, making them go faster, harder, he knew you were close.
“You in there buddy?”
“Haven’t seen him,” you yelled.
“Oh, sorry y/n.”
Jensen withdrew his fingers, making you whine in protest. Grabbing your hips he started swirling his tongue over your cunt. “Fuck... Jensen...” you moaned, the tension building. “Just like.. that.” The tension reached it’s peak in no time as you walls clenched around nothing. Your fingers gripped his hair, making his tongue work harder.
Your body shuddered, your eyes squeezed shut as the tension toppled over, moaning out his name again as the bliss pulsed through every ounce of you. He let out a moan of his own as your cum found his tongue. Another moan left your lips as he slid his fingers back inside you, leaning into your ear. “I could watch you cum all day,.” he whispered. He brought his fingers to mouth, sucking your juices off of them. “And you taste so fucking good.“ He pressed his lips to yours.
“Not as good as you,” you argued.
“I highly doubt that.”
“So honestly,” you sat, pulling your pants back on, “that's the first time that's happened in here?”
“Yes,” he answered, making your eyes narrow. “I swear.”
“You mean you and Heath-” His face hardened. “Um, she who shall not be named.”
He laughed at the reference. “Yeah, she’s about that evil. And no, she didn’t spend much time here, even before the divorce.” His fingers laced through yours as your walked out the office door.
“So, how much shit do you think we are going to get from Jared?”
“Oh, he’ll keep his mouth shut. I know some dirty little secrets of his.”
As soon as his feet hit the tile of the open space, someone was yelling his name. You loosened your grip on his fingers. “Go Mr. Boss man.”
He gave you a quick peck on the cheek “Ill be back.”
“You want something to drink, y/n?” Josh asked you as you hopped up on a bar stool.
“I’ll take a coke. If you got one,” you told him. Jared sat beside you with a big grin on his face. “Can I help you?”
“Nope, you should probably have water though, re-hydrate.” he teased.
“Shut up, Sasquatch,” you said with red cheeks.
“So, how did the meeting go this morning?” “Good.”
Jared scoffed. “That’s seriously all I get?”
You raised you eyebrows and nodded toward Josh. “I’ll tell you later,” you whispered. Jared nodded an understating.
“Jared, Josh.” Your head turned when you heard Jensen’s voice. “Help me carry these tubs out.”
Your phone started to ring. “Shit,” you said when you see Mac’s name. You hopped off the stool and walked over to Jensen. “I’ma go get her.” you stretched on your tips toes and pressed your lips to his cheek.
He grabbed your hand as you turned to walk away, pulling you into his arms “You missed.” He pressed his lips to yours.
“Love you,” he called out as you reached the door.
“Love you more,” you turned and winked at him.
Jensen.
“Thanks bro,” Jensen said as Josh took one of the tubs filled with craw fish and started back out the door.
“Why did y/n have to go pick up Mac?” Jared asked once Josh was through the door.
“So Mac could drink…”
“So, she’s playing D.D again?”
“Yep.” Jensen handed him the second tub and picked up the third.
Jared looked around, making sure there wasn't any other ears. “I guess that means you two are actively trying now?”
“We aren’t like trying, trying, but we’re not really using any precautions for it to not happen,.” Jensen confessed nudging the cooler door shut with his hip.
Jared chuckled. “I think they call that trying, Ackles.”
Jensen rolled his eyes. “I doubt it will hap-” the back room doors swung open. “Mama!”
“Jensen! Jared!” Donna rushed over to them and gave them each a kiss on the cheek. “How are my boys?”
“We are good, Mama Ackles,” Jared told her “Some of us more happy than others today.” Jensen shot him a glare.
She chuckled “Am I missin’ something?”
“No, don’t mind him. Just Jared being Jared.”
“Where’s y/n?” she asked opening the swinging doors for them.
“She had to run home and get Mac,” Jensen told her. “She shouldn’t be that long.”
“Well, good I have to talk to you,” Donna murmured.
Jared’s eyebrows furrowed, but he didn’t push.
“Hey, Russel,” Jensen yelled, the bartender’s eyes snapped to him. “Do me a favor, take this out with Jared.”
“You got it, boss,” Russ said, taking the tub.
“Did you find it?” Jensen asked guiding his mother away from everyone.
“I sure did.” She started digging in her purse. “She is just gonna love it, baby.” She pulled out a little black box and slipped in into his hands.
“Thank you! Thank you!” Jensen wrapped his arms around his mother and squeezed.
“Oh, you’re welcome baby.” She hugged him back. “Now her daddy has passed, right?”
“Yes, but there’s still someone I have to ask,” he told her shoving the box into the pocket of his jeans.
“Do you know how yet?”
“Yep.” the corners on his mouth rose.
“Jensen!” Steve yelled from the patio area.
“I gotta go, but seriously Mama, thank you." She nodded, gesturing a 'you're welcome'.
"Have Russ make you a drink when he gets back.”
Reader.
You pulled back into the parking lot of the brewery, and of course your parking spot was now occupied - hell, most of the lot was full. You could hear the boys tuning their instruments through your open windows,
Mac looked over at you “Does he know yet?”
“Nope.”
“y/n! Mac!” You heard a familiar voice as you got out of your car.
Jeff had his arm around his wife as they walked over to you car.
“That’s a nice car, you got there.”
“Thanks,” you said closing the door behind you.
“This is Hilarie, my wife. Babe, this is Jensen’s girlfriend y/n, and Mac, Alex’s girlfriend.”
“Pleasure to meet you guys,” she said shaking your hand.
“Likewise,” you told her.
“So I guess the whole gang is here?” Jeff said gesturing to the lot.
“Guess so…”
“It’s just a damn shame.”
“Yeah, He’s pretty bummed about it. Even though he won’t admit it,” you said as you followed Jeff and Hilarie to the doors.
“That sounds like Jensen.”
Cheers erupted as you walked through the door. Your eyes shifted towards the bar, not finding who you were looking for. “He’s outside.” Russ told you.
“Thanks, Russ.”
More hollers and whistles, probably more for Jeff than you, filled the dry air as you stepped out on the patio.
Jensen, Jared, Steve, Misha, Rob, and Alex were in a circle, raising their shooters together. “Go.” one of them yelled and at the signal they raised their glasses to their lips and tilted their heads back, slamming the shot glasses on the outside bar once they were empty.
“Hey fellas, tonight is my lucky night,” Jeff said walking over to them. “I found 3 luscious ladies in the parking lot.”
“Sorry, this one is taken.” Jensen commented as he swaggered over to you with a big smile on his face. “Hi.”
You returned the grin. “Hello there, handsome.” He pulled your into him, tasting the hint of whiskey as he pressed his lips to yours.
“Boys, you ready to sing one?” Josh asked into the mic, standing on the makeshift stage.
“Hm,” you pondered.
“What?”
“This is the second time I’ve been called to the stage while talking to the same smokin’ hot babe.” you mocked the words he used the first night you met.
Jensen’s head lifted as he laughed. “I gotta go, but find me after the show, ok?”
You snorted, “I’ll be around.”
“I love you.” He kissed your cheek,
“I love you more.”
He pressed his lips to yours then started towards his brother, turning back after a couple steps. “Not possible.”
Jensen.
His eyes blinked awake in the dimly lit room. He didn't’ remember closing the curtains, although he didn’t remember much from last night. The pressure in his skull felt like a small balloon slowly inflating. One hand rubbed his forehead while the other searched for her, only to find cold sheets and an empty bed.
When he rose to his feet the waves of nausea started, sending him running to his bathroom, where he splashed cold water on his face. Trying to calm his symptoms and washing away the toxins at the same time. He looked at himself in the mirror, finding a post-it note stuck to the glass.
Good morning Doll Face.
Drink the water, take the aspirin, grab a shower :P
Then come grab some breakfast. x-o-x-o
He chuckled. “My little smartass,” he said, grabbing the bottle of water out of the small ice trough, and tossing some of the aspirin she had out for him into his mouth.
He finished the water on his way down the stairs, head still feeling like it was going to explode at some point, but at least the queasy feeling was gone.
She was busy at the stove, of course. She had her earbuds in and was tapping her foot to whatever song she was listening to. He recognized it as soon as she started humming.
“You just can’t get enough of me huh?” he teased, making her jump.
”Never,” she answered, making him smile. “Are you hungry?’
“Did you make bacon?” he asked as walked up behind her, wrapping his arms around her.
She chuckled. “Now would I make you breakfast without bacon?”
“You guys are so loud!” Jared cried out as he sat up on the section, rubbing his temples.
“Jared, there’s some aspirin on the end table and cold water in the fridge.”
“Thanks, mom,” Jared teased,
“No problem. Gotta take care of my boys.” She giggled when Jensen nuzzled his face into the crook of her neck. “You want some breakfast, Sass?”
“Yes please,” Jared replied grabbing a water out of the fridge.
“You ok?” she asked nudging Jensen
“I will be...”
“Anything you wanna talk about?”
“Just got a lot to do when we get back.”
“Like…”
He huffed. “Like finding a new place for F.B.”
“Did you like any of the ones that Brian sent you?”
He kissed her shoulder before making his way to the coffee maker. “There were a couple that caught my eye,” he told her filling up 2 mugs. “I just don’t know if they are spacious enough for what I want.” He handed the other mug across the bar to Jared.
“Thanks man.”
“Yep.”
“Did you schedule any viewings? Pictures can be deceiving, ya know.” She shot him a smirk, making Jared choke on his coffee.
“You’re funny,” he said in a sarcastic tone. “I did, 2 for Thursday.” He made his eyebrows jump.
“Any particular reason you would schedule them on my day off?”
He smiled. “Do you wanna come?”
She gasped. “I get a say on the the new place?”
“I didn’t say that, I just asked if you wanted to go with me.”
She snorted as she threw the dishtowel at him. “Jerk.”
“Hey, that’s my line.” Jared chimed in.
“I really hope the new owner in Dripping Springs has an auction, so I can buy back the machines I already paid for once.” Jensen voiced, sitting next to Jared at the bar.
“I don't know. If everything is ready to go, why not keep it a brewery?”
“Jared, you’re not helping,” Jensen said sitting beside him at the bar.
“Jensen, I have a good feeling everything is gonna work out,” she reassured him, getting a hearty sigh in response.
“Thank you, sweetheart,” Jensen said as she sat their plates in front of them, grabbing her arm and pulling her to him so he could kiss her cheek.
“Thanks Bon.” Jared said, wasting no time digging in.
“No problem.” she said, raising her wrist to check her watch. “I gotta go meet Robert and Mac. I will see you later.”
“Remember to ask about Tuesday,” Jensen told her.
“I will babe.” She leaned in for a quick peck. “Love you,” She called back, walking through the doorway.
“Love you, more.” They both yelled making her chuckle.
Reader.
“You ready?” Mac asked walking through your bedroom door, carrying a suitcase.
“Yep, just finished,” you told her, zipping your own.
You snorted as you stepped down on the first step, the voices of Selling Sunset floating through the air.
“I don’t understand, why the hell do they put up with her?” Alex’s frustrated voiced boomed over the t.v. “Why not just fucking fire her?”
You held a hand up as Mac nudged you. “Shhh.”
“Because she sold the most expensive house last year,” Jared told him.
“And she adds drama to the show.” Jensen chimed in.
“But is it really worth it?”
“Shush, did Davina just say she leaving?” Jensen barked.
“Did she?” Jared asked as the voices stopped, you assumed they were rewinding it.
“Oh shit, Jensen. She is leaving.”
You and Mac giggled at you continued down the stairs.
“Harty har.” Jensen quipped, raising to his feet. “You know this is all your damn fault.”
“Oh, I proudly take fun responsibility for this.”
He chuckled as he held out his hand “Gimme.”
“Thanks, Ackles.” You gave him a kiss on the cheek.
Jensen cleared his throat as he nudged the back of the recliner Alex was sitting in.
“I was gonna get it,” Alex said standing up.
“Damn right you were,” Jensen playfully scolded.
Jensen pulled out his phone as it started to ring. “Hey Clif.” He tapped your leg with the suitcase. “Yep, everyone is here and ready. “ His brows furrowed. “No, definitely not.” His face lightened with a small chuckle. “Yeah, the address I texted you earlier and I sent the gate code right?” He tapped you again, you responded with a finger jab to his rib cage, making him jump. “Alright, see you in a minute, bye.” He hung up his phone and raised his brows. “Well, that was rude.”
“Well, you started it.”
Everyone followed as Jensen started out your front door. “Does everyone have everything?”
“I think so,” you replied.
“Yep.” Mac said.
“Yes, dad,” Alex smarted.
“Now we aren’t turning around for anything,” Jared chimed in.
“Yes mom,” you cracked, making Alex and Mac laugh.
“Come on, dear.” Jensen held his hand out to Jared, he chuckled and then took Jensen’s hand, skipping down to the road.
A black suv pulled in front of your house, a man bursting out laughter as he took in the sight of Jensen and Jared holding hands at the curb. “Did you guys finally make it official?” he joked getting out of the car.
“Yep. Looks like I’m the new Bonnie,” Jared smiled at you.
“No one’s the new me, pal.” you winked at Jensen, making him laugh.
Jensen.
“I bet it was the tacos,” Alex guessed leaning on the wall.
“I think she just got car sick, sitting all the way in the back,” Mac sighed as she sat on the chair in the corner.
“I don’t know guys. I think she…” Jared started, making Jensen stop his pacing, “is just nervous. This is her first con.”
“Baby, are you ok? Can you please let me in?” Jensen pleaded as he knocked on the bathroom door.
“No way,” she yelled back, the sound of water swooshing in the background. “Can you do me a favor though?”
“Name it.”
“Make them leave?”
“Done. You heard her, get out.” Jensen gestured toward the door.
“Call me if you guys need anything. Ok?”
“I will, Mac,” he told her as she stepped into the hotel hallway.
“Alright, all gone. Now can I come in?”
“Do you really wanna watch me throw up, Jensen?”
“No, I want to hold you, hold your hair, rub your back. Whatever you need. Please let me help you.”
She opened the door, with a toothbrush in her mouth. “I think I’m done anyway.”
He leaned on the counter beside her. “You know, you don’t have to hide in a bathroom every time you throw up.” She spit the toothpaste into the sink. “And from what I hear there will be a lot more if we-”
“I know how it works.”
“I’m just sayin’ I’m in, for all of it. The good, the bad, the embarrassing, and it’s not gonna change how I see you.”
“Promise?”
“Cross my heart.” He pulled her into his arms, kissing her forehead.
“What song do you want?” he asked as she rested her head on his chest
“You know,” she sighed.
He chuckled. “Don’t you ever get sick of that song?”
“Never.”
His fingers lazily combined through her hair .”Ya know, one day you just might.”
“You bite your damn tongue, Jensen Ross,” she snapped, making him laugh again.
“What if you did, what song-”
“Can you just sing me my song please?” she teased.
“Yes ma’am,” he agreed with a smile, and started humming City Grow Willow.
Reader
You knees shifted nervously, the elevator floors light up as it went down. It's stopped on 3 and the doors open.
“Meg, Megan,” Jared greeted the women as they stepped into the cart.
“Baby, that’s Meg, mine and Jared’ assistant, and Megan, our p.r rep.”
“Nice to meet you.” You stuck out your hand to them.
“And this is Mac,” Alex introduced.
“So nice to meet you two,” Meg said.
“Finally,” Megan chimed in.
You chuckled. “Nice to meet y’all.”
“Oh, God, she’s been hanging out with Jared too much,” Megan joked, making everyone laugh.
“Here, ladies,” Meg said as she handed out lanyards holding v.i.p passes. “Keep these on and you will have access to everything.”
“Thank you,” you and Mac said together as you both pulled them over your heads.
You could feel the energy thrumming in the air as you stepped off the elevator. Jensen laced his fingers through yours as he led you down the hallway. People gawked and gasped as their eyes found Jensen. And the whispers started.
“Oh my god, it’s really them.”
“It’s Jensen, It’s Jensen.”
“Shit, shit. There’s Jared.”
“Oh my god, they are so cute together.”
Jensen smiled at you as he squeezed your hand. He must have heard that one too.
He turned to you once you reached the long black table with their pictures behind their assigned seats. “Hang out with Clif. Vendor's row is over there if you wanna go look. Steve should be over there in our Radio Company booth. There's a lot of neat art too. Do you have cash?”
“Yes, dad I brought cash,” you mocked.
His eyebrows raised and leaned into your ear “Keep talkin’ shit and you’re gonna get Daddy alright.”
“You promise?” you smirked, making him chuckle. “Go, they’ve waited on you long enough.”
He kissed your cheek and turned on his heels, and screams erupted as Jensen and Jared made their way behind the table.
"Don't worry, you get used to it." Clif said, making you chuckle.
"So, how long have you known him?"
"15 years."
"Hmm."
"And no."
"No, what?"
"I'm not giving you any dirt."
You chuckled. “I didn’t ask for any.”
“Yet,” Clif joked with a smirk at you. "Did you wanna go check out the vendors?"
"In a minute, maybe," you told him, watching Jensen interact with his fans, God, he was adorable. A couple was in front of him now, and he was just yapping away. He scrunched his face and stuck his tongue out when his eyes met yours; you rolled your eyes with a smile.
“Hey!” Mac nudged your arm as she approached.
“Hey.” You didn’t take your eyes off Jensen,
“Go have fun,” he mouthed, gesturing you off. You blew him a kiss. He caught it and stuffed it in his pocket.
“Alright, let’s go spend some money,” you said as hooked your arm through Mac’s “You comin’ big guy?”
Clif chuckled. “Right behind you little lady.”
“Oh, y/n look at these,” Mac said dragging you towards one of the biggest booths in the room. You eyes scanned over the exquisite paintings of the Supernatural cast, one of Dean and Sam leaning on the Impala sharing a beer caught your eye. And then another of just Dean.
“Hello Ladies, and Clif” the woman looked behind you. “How are we today?”
“Good. How’s business today, Darla?” Clif asked.
“It’s been steady, but it should pick up after the meet and greet.” She noticed you staring at her artwork. “Any catching your eye darlin’?”
“Yes, all of them. Did you paint these all yourself?” you asked as your eyes flashed back to the painting of Dean.
“I did.”
“They are beautiful!”
“Thank you.” She smiled and walked over to it, grabbing it off the makeshift wall she had it on. “I just finished this one last night. She handed you the painting, a close up of Dean. Probably around season 2.
“I’ll take it. And the one of the boys leaning on the Impala please.”
“You got it.” She took the painting from you then the other from the wall and wrapped them.
“Anything for you?” Darla’s husband rose to his feet and walked over.
“Yeah, Can I have that one?” She point to one of Sam, Dean, Cas, and Jack. “And that one?” She pointed to another of Sam, Dean, and Cas.
“Absolutely.” He took them down and started wrapping them.
“Alright. Yours.” She gave you your total and then Mac hers.
“Um, But we got 2.” you stammered in confusion.
“One is a welcome to the family gift.” she smiled.
“Oh, Darla, I can’t-”
“No use arguing girls, we all got one.” Clif told you.
You huffed. “Are you sure?” handing her some cash.
“Yes I am sure.”
“Thank you so much!” you exclaimed as she handed you your bag, and then repeated the process with Mac.
“You are both very welcome, just keep them smiling.” She winked at you.
“We will” you replied in unison.
Mac hooked your arm as you continued to walk.
“I don’t know what Jensen sees in her,” you overheard coming from the conversation in front of you
“I don’t know… I mean she is kinda pretty.”
You took a deep breath and let the comments roll off your back.
“Eh, I don’t see it.”
“I think Heather was better for him.”
The girls turned when you blurted out a laugh, their cheeks turning red as their jaws slacked.
“Is there a problem here ladies?” Clif asked crossing his arms.
“N-n-no sir.” one of them stammered.
“Alright, then let’s move it along.”
“Thank you.” you whispered.
“I got you.”
After a checking out a couple more tables, you turned to Clif. “You ever have to break up any fights?”
“A couple,” he told you.
“Have you ever had to break up a fight with Jensen in it?” you queried after a few more steps.
Clif chuckled. “Maybe.”
“Have you ever had to break up a fight between Jensen and Jared?"
"I know what you doing," Clif raised his brows.
"I don't know what you're talking about." You flashed a smile.
"I've never had to, but I guess they did have a big… I don't know if you'd call it a fight. More of a heated argument, on set one time. They haven't gotten into it since."
You looked at him with wide eyes. "On set?"
"Yep."
"What was it about?"
Clif sighed. "I'm not really sure. I've heard about 6 different stories. Never really pressed the boys about it. Probably best just to let sleeping dogs lie."
"Well if it ain't Steve Carlson," Mac teased as you walked up to the Radio Company booth.
“Hello Ladies. Can I interest you in a Radio Company Album, make a t-shirt, how about a hat?” He used his best salesman voice.
“If that’s how you plan to sell this stuff you are screwed,” you teased him.
“Watch.” Mac said stepping behind the booth. “Come one, Come all! Exclusive merch from the band Radio Company. “
“It’s not exclusive though.”
“Shh.”
Reader.
“So, baby,” he said, walking out of the hotel bathroom. “How was the first day at your first Supernatural Convention?”
“Eh, It was ok,” you grinned.
He stopped and looked at you with one eyebrow raised, and your smile got bigger. “Just ok?”
“Eh, nothing special,” you giggled. He nodded his head stalking toward the bed. Stopping at your feet, he grabbed your ankles. “What are you doing?”
In one quick motion he pulled, and you were down at the foot of the bed. “Final answer?” He asked clasping your hips in his fingers.
“And If I said yes?”
You squirmed as his hands clenched. “Do you really wanna find out, sweetheart?”
Your head tilted as you narrowed your eyes at him. “If you get kicked, it’s on you, Ackles.”
“Just change your answer and nobody has to get hurt.”
“No….” you challenged, squirming and kicking as he tickled , “Jensen… Ross...” you yelled between uncontrollable laughter. “Stop… Right.. Now…” Your breath was heavy and fast when he stopped.
“You ready to change it, or do you want more?”
“You win.” His fingers tightened again. “I said you win! I had a lot of fun today.”
“You’re really cute when you being tickled.” He caught his weight on his hands, looming over you.
“Shut up, Jens-”
His lips cut of you words, kissing you in a way that made a fire erupt in your core. He shifted to his elbows, his weight resting on top of you. He broke the kiss as he rolled his hips, smiling as he made whimpers push past your lips.
Your fingers twisted in his hair as you pulled his lips back to yours, moaning into his mouth as his fingers rubbed the seam of your jeans.
“Do you want me, baby?” He murmured dragging his bottom lip over your jaw line
“No,” you whispered, making his brows knit together. “I need you Jensen.”
Happy Monday! So the universe has worked in my favor for once! here it is! Chapter 7 of the Limelight Series! It is a bit long, but I think its worth it. This will be the last chapter for this series for a while, but it does end on a good note, so I think you all will be happy with it, and can draw your own conclusions of what happens after.
I want to thank you all for reading this story and going on this journey with me and a big thank you to @hobby27 for sending in the ask/message for this story.
All your likes, reblogs, comments and ask to be on the tag list are appreciated and helps my confidence grow as a writer.
If you haven't read chapter six, click here to read it and then come back to read chapter 7.
This series came way of a message/ask from @hobby27 she asked:
"I would love something with Jensen and reader. He sees her when he’s at a convention and he’s bonkers for her. She isn’t so interested in a relationship with him because of the fame. So he has to woo her. Make her understand that he’s not a typical movie/tv star. Slow burn."
So I give you the Limelight series- It's a Jensen x reader (plus size, curvy girl) story, Jensen meets the reader in a bar, he falls fist, she is reluctant of course, but secretly she fell for him the second he walked through the door. So can a small town girl and a celebrity make it work?
Warnings for the whole series: language, multi-pov and switching between the pov mid chapters (sorry I can't help it), Jensen coming off aggressive for a hot second but then cooling off. Some douche side characters and some lovable ones, body shaming, angst, fluff, swoon, Jared is there and Micha is mention.
This story takes place an AU where Jensen is not married but Jared is and has kids.
This chapter is 4K+. Feedback, likes and reblogs are always welcomed. Please don't post as your own work, this is my work. If you would like to be added to my tag list, just ask, I am always happy to add you.
Six Month time jump from the end of Chapter 6
“Well look at what the cat dragged in! Is that the famous Y/N? The one that is dating that gorgeous actor from that one show…oh you know that one….” James sarcastically says, leaning his head back and pondering as if he is thinking long and hard for the answer.
“Yeah, Yeah, very funny” you quip back, making your way through the deserted bar and towards him. It being Sunday and all, the one day that he closes so he can give staff the night off, and him time to do inventory and payroll. You knew you would find him here, you need to see your friend. You take a seat on a barstool facing him.
He gives you a wicked smile. “Oh come on, Y/N, you know I'm only kidding. Besides, I know you can handle it.” He says tossing down a coaster and starts to grab the tequila without you asking for a margarita.
“But, I haven’t seen you around much, are you doing okay?” He asks, finishing up the drink and sitting it down in front of you.
You take a moment to really think about his question, how are you doing? Really? Fine? Okay? I mean for the most part life hasn’t changed too much, your relationship with Jensen has been good, the long distance thing is not ideal, but…is it a relationship at all?
Looking at James, you can tell he is waiting with anticipation to hear all the latest gossip. Leaning towards you, that smile plastered on his sunkiss face. God, how you wish you could give him something, anything. But you really have nothing.
“I am fine, just busy at the studio is all. Had some great responses from my show a few months back so…how about you?” You ask, doing your best to push through. Giving James a smile, you take a much needed drink. Bypassing the subject of Jensen for now.
You half listen to him talk about the staff turn over, the loss of the summer crowd, and how he can’t believe he is actually looking forward to the college kids coming back. It's not that James is self involved, per say, it's more that, get him talking about work, or about his stressors, and you can have him focus more on himself then you. Which in this monument, might be what you actually need.
“That's Haven for you, out with the rich tourist, in with the drunk frat kids. Ugh, I am just happy not to have to deal with them if I am still going to be seeing Jensen.” Shaking your head at the thought of the girls that would give you grief and the guys that would act like ‘Dean’ just to get a free drink.
James gives you a curious look, “What do you mean, ‘if you're still dating Jensen.’ You two are not the happy couple I keep reading about on page 6 in the Haven Harold or online in People?”
Oh shit, didn’t think he would pick up on that. You give him a sheepish smile. Better get on the defense.
“Okay first of all. Mrs. Hanson needs to get something new to print on page 6 besides the load of B.S. you supply her…” You throw back at him, finishing off your drink. Trying your best to come off as pissed off at the sweet kind small town local paper.
“Hey! My info allows me free ad space! I am not giving that up!” James defensively says.
“And second, Jensen and I haven’t even been in the same area code for People magazine to even get a whiff of anything to write about so…we would actually have to see each other to create any real hot gossip.”
“But you guys are still together right? I mean you guys still talk, Facetime?”
“Yeah, of course, text constantly, Facetime a couple times a week. But he’s been swamped with work. He got back to Texas after the convention and was planning on coming back for a few weeks but his management had other ideas.” You passively say, your eyes focusing more on the condistation that is forming the glass then James.
“That sounds cryptic.” Now wondering what kind of team was working for Jensen, and if they were holding him hostage against his will.
You give a short laugh at James' concerned look. You shake your head at this, not wanting to go back to those earlier months. Those months when…
“No, I mean he got booked on some guest TV spots that I can’t really say what they are, and from there he has been booked with a few charity events.” You quickly explain away.
Relief washes over James and he lets out a breath, putting a hand on his chest.
“Oh thank god. I thought we were going to have to get the navy seals involved and rescue the poor man.”
Letting out a laugh that shakes you out of your funk. God, James is always good at making you smile.
“No sweetie, no need to call your ex, what was his name Ricky?” You smile, and give him a wink.
“Hey, for you I would call him, even if he left me with the tab that night for him and all his officers. That tab cost me two months rent!”
You giggle at this, remembering how pissed James was, when they skipped out on their tab.
“I still don’t get it though, it's been six months, you guys couldn’t make something work? Even a long weekend?” He questions.
“I know, it’s stupid really, he left, I was getting ready for my show, and so I was focused on that. Then when that was over, he was off filming, out of the country. We kept trying, but it seemed like everytime one of us was going to meet the other somewhere, he got asked to do an appearance, or a charity function.” you explain, feeling yourself getting depressed all over again.
Retelling the endless loop of the same conversation over and over just now to James has you sick of hearing it. God, it's stupid really.
“I mean come on James I can’t be like, ‘no don’t go save the penguins. I have tickets to that music festival I had been talking about since we met and I want to go!’”
Letting out an exhausted sigh, you lay your head down on the bar counter. Word vomiting it all out can take a lot out of you. Feeling the weight of just getting that off your check was enough to help you breathe a little easier that you didn’t realize you were struggling with until now.
“Oh sweetie…” James starts to say, leaning over and placing a hand on your back. “And you love penguins.”
“I know!” you cry out. “Fuck, I don’t know what I am doing James.” You mumble into the counter with your head still down.
“Can I ask you, did you tell him about your show? I was surprised he wasn’t there, or Jared….or Micha.”
You hesitate for a second. Your surprise this question didn’t come up earlier from him. Setting up, your fust with your hair for a second, and nervous habit of yours.
“Ummm ... .I may have not invited him” you say sheepishly, bracing yourself for the onslaught of yelling that was sure to come from James.
He takes it in for a bet. “What? Why?” He questions, wondering what you were thinking. Crossing his arms around his torso, and slapping over his face, letting out an audible groan.
“Okay look hear me out.” you start to explain.
“I was going to, fully prepared to. We were talking, he was back in Texas, I had asked what his plans were for that week, and he told me he would be filming…out of the country.”
You stop seeing James peek out from behind his hands, and then gestures with the other giving you the universal sign to keep going.
“So I figure no point in telling him, and having us both disappointed that he wouldn’t be able to make it.”
James let out an exhausted sigh, “Y/N! Come on! He still should have known, even if he couldn’t be there. He could have sent Jared and Gen, or Facetime in, or sent flowers.”
Throwing the bar rag down in defeat, he leans up against the back bar. “You can’t keep this guy at arms length. You got to let him in.”
“I am not keeping him out! Okay. What good would it have done for me to tell him, if he couldn’t be there? Make him upset, and then he’s not focused on his job, he gets hurt or worse.”
Getting up from the stool, with your back to the door.
“Besides, why should we even assume that Jared or anyone else famous that he knows would show up to my show or should for that matter. Just because he asked? They're not his lackeys, they're his friends. They don’t even know me!” Yelling back at him.
Frustration is taking over, the fact that he would throw that idea out there, what the hell. Where did that even come from?
“Did you think my new relationship with Jensen would somehow have me rubbing elbows with all his famous friends now?” you question, now wondering if James was hoping that fame would have a trickle down effect to his advantage.
“Well I mean…I thought by now, you would have had a few ‘celebrity sightings’ as they say, but it's also you, and you like your privacy so…no I shouldn’t be surprised by this at all.” James says slightly defeated and passive.
Feeling defeated yourself, you let your arms fall to your side. You thought coming here would help get your mind off missing Jensen, and wishing like hell you could just tell him how you want to see him, standing right in front of you, not through a screen.
“Well I am sorry to disappoint another man in my life.” You yell, feeling yourself break. Everything was just falling apart, you couldn’t do anything right, everything you were touching was turning to shit!
You didn’t hear the door open and close behind you. Wanting to get off this topic of your dysfunctional relationship you just need to get some air.
You're about to turn a go but James stops you.
“Y/N, no stop! You are not a disappointment. Look, I am sorry, I shouldn’t be butting into your relationship, I just want you to be happy.” Coming around the bar, James wraps you in a hug.
Holding you close, his embrace, is exactly what you need. Pulling you close he mumbles in your ear.
“I know Jensen makes you happy. Hold onto that, I know you two will make it.”
“I hope you're right, James, I can’t lose him.” you whisper into his neck. Feeling the tears on the cusp of breaking from your eyes.
“I can’t lose you either.” You add.
“You will never lose me, kid.” Giving you a quick kiss on the side of your head, pulling you closer to him.
Pulling back slightly from James you take a ragged breath. You breath in the sent of leather, and musk, Fuck, you miss Jensen so much your now imagining his smell.
You give a small laugh at this.
“What's so funny?” James asks, letting you out of his arms, but still holding onto your hands.
You shake off the laughs, “oh nothing…just…I am really losing it now, because I swear I can smell him….crazy right.”
“I don’t think so, sweetheart.” Jensen’s deep sexy voice fills the air behind you.
Making your heart stop for a beat, you take a second, before you notice the grin on James face, and you quick spin around to stand face to face with Jensen Fucking Ackles.
“Your here…” is all you whisper out before Jensen pulls you in his arms and his lips find yours and melt with yours.
Your arms wrap around his shoulders while one of his holds your waist and the other roams your back. His lips fit perfectly with yours and you open your lips slightly to let his tongue slip in and dance with yours.
You don’t even care that you're standing in front of your best friend, the only thing running through your mind is Jensen, that he is here with you, in your arms, and this is not some dream that you're going to wake up from.
Feeling the need to breathe, you pull aways ever slightly, but still stay in his arms.
“You're here” you whisper out again.
“I am” he breathly says.
“How? Why?” You breathly blurt out, your mind not really able to form real words. Jensen’s kisses had that effect on you.
“Drove. Missed you.” Jensen is still catching his breath.
“Why don’t I get you two something to drink and you two can catch up…you know with your words.” James interjects. Giving you both a smile and then turning on his heels and back to the bar.
You feel yourself start to blush, as you slightly care about the public display you just had with Jensen. You hide your face in his chest.
“He’s never going to let me live this down.” you mumble.
Jensen chuckles at this, and gives the top of your head a quick kiss.
“Come on, one drink, and then we can get out of here.” He promises.
Making the short walk to the bar, James has a margarita waiting for you, and beer pulled for Jensen. Before you can even speak James jumps in.
“So Jensen, good to see ya man. What have you been up to? What are you doing in town? How's everyone…”
James is as subtle as a gun, you shake your head at his rambling questions and the obvious question regarding a certain cast member. You take a long drink and just let Jensen handle this one.
“I am good. Busy, the show is on a break right now, so everyone is doing their own thing…” Jensen looks over to you for some guidance for how much of a ‘fan’ James was with Micha and if he should be worried. You just give him a shrug and nothing else.
“But I will let Micha know you said hi.” he adds, hoping that will suffice.
“Cool, cool.” James says with a smile, shaking his head in agreement. Leaning up against the back bar, not picking up that he should be anywhere but here.
“Umm…James…you think we could…” you passively say, hoping he will get the hint.
He finally does. Giving you a knowing nod, “sure thing, yep, I got payroll in the back to do.” Pushing off the counter he heads for the office without looking back.
Once James is out of ear shot, you both snicker to each other, turning your chairs so you're facing each other, your knees bumping each other.
“Oh, boy, James has it bad for Micha. I better give him the heads up.” Jensen says, with a smirk, and taking a drink.
“Oh James is harmless, it's just a crush. Besides, Micha brought it on, when he came to the bar that night, I heard he laid on the charm.” You counter, wanting to stand up for your friend, even though you know James is a total flirt.
“Well, he can be charming, I did teach him a thing or two.” He says, leaning in, draping an arm on the back of your chair to steddy it, and connecting his lips with yours.
Letting them dance for a bit you pull back with a satisfied smile. “You are a charmer Mr. Ackles.”
“Your not bad yourself Miss.Y/L/N”
“So what do I and the fine town of Haven owe the pleasure of your arrival here today, sir?” You question. Hoping that he is here just for you, but being ever the realist.
“Well, as you know, Detroit is the motor capital of the world…”
You cut him short “Yes, I have lived in this state my whole life, don’t need to mansplan or school me in my own state sir.”
“Okay, sassy much, you're lucky, you're cute, and a good kisser.” He counters by stealing a quick kiss before continuing.
“As I was trying to say, there is a motor city charity function in Detroit this weekend, and they ask for me to make a quick appearance, and we are auctioning off one of the ‘Baby’ from this season's production.”
“Oh, that's cool. So in town for just the weekend then?” You question, trying your best to keep a smile and hopefully your voice at a happy upbeat level. Of course he is here for work.
“Well, yes and no. See, Yes, I have to make an appearance at the action tomorrow night with the car, since I drove it here. But also no, since I told my management team that I need a break, like a real break before I go back to filming the next season.”
“Wow, how did they take that?” Jensen actually asked for time off? Really? Shock doesn’t begin to describe your feelings. Trying your best you're sure your face is failing, by the slight smirk Jensen is giving you.
“Fine, I mean, they have to be fine with it, I am the one that pays them. They were running me ragged, I was getting so burned out. Our conversations were the only things keeping me from throwing in the towel. I am serious Y/N I was this close to quitting it all buying a lot of land out in the desert.” He says, holding up his thumb and index finger millimeters apart to show just how on the edge he was.
You shake your head at this, knowing that he would never give up acting, he loves it too much, but still. You slap his hand down, but you keep it intertwined with yours.
“When this came up on the schedule It was like fate was giving me the perfect out. We can spend the next six months getting to really know each other. We can spend time here, go down to Texas. What do you think?” Jensen explains.
You're really taken aback now, he did this all for you, he’s putting his life on hold so he can get to know you. Your crazy if you don’t say something, fuck, say anything!
“I love you!” You blurt out, shocked that those words tumble from your lips, but no one has ever put you first this way. No one has ever put their life on hold for you. Oh fuck, you just said it, fuck, fuck, fuck….
Jensen can see you shocked by what you just said as well. He’s shocked that you beat him to it. But no more appropriate place than where they first meet, where he first lay eyes on you, where he first knew he loved you.
Before you can take it back, because he can tell you're so close to back tracking it he cuts you off.
“I love you.” Leaning in, he tenderly kisses you, to seal the deal, and to hopefully chase away any doubts you have running around in that beautiful head of yours.
Pulling away and catching your breath, your doubts about saying that you love him first are washed away. Giving him a mischievous smile you ask.
“So when exactly do you have to get Baby to the Motor City Charity function thing?” getting up from your stool and filling the small space between you two.
His green eyes, looking up at yours with the same mischief twinkle, he knows where this is going.
“Last time I asked a certain girl in this bar if she wanted a ride, she turned me down so fast my head was spinning.” He jokes, getting up, and pressing his body against yours.
“Maybe, you should ask her again, but this time ask Jensen, not Dean.” You break eye contact with him to look down at his hard chest, in a simple gray t-shirt, you let your finger run down the v neckline.
“Do you want to go for a ride?” His voice is deep and low, but distinctively him, with just a slight Texas drawn that you think he purposefully slipped in for you.
You wrap your arm around his neck and bring his face to you, holding him just inches from you, your breath mixes with his. “Yes…take me home…please.” Your voice barely above a whisper.
“Yes ma'am” his texas drawn fully on now. He gives you a chase kiss before stepping out in front of you and taking your hand, leading you out of the bar and towards the side alley.
You're thankful for the short walk to the car, but Jensen doesn't want to let go of you. Peppering you with kisses with the passenger car door open, he finally concedes and races around to get into the driver side to get his hand into yours again for the short drive to your house.
You try to take it in that you're riding in Baby right now, next to Jensen Ackles, but for some reason your brain is not letting you process it. You want to look at every inch of this car, but all you can keep your eyes on is the man sitting next to you, the feel of his hand in yours, and the butterflies in your stomach.
The sun is low, casting a beautiful mixture of pinks and oranges in the sky, reflecting off the water as you pass by, the windows down letting in the last of the summer wind. You lean over to flip on the radio to see what Jensen is listening to on the drive and no surprise there, classic rock blasted through the speakers, causing you to laugh out loud and making Jensen smile and hearing your laugh in person, it sounds so much better in person than over Facetime.
Pulling into your driveway, Jensen shuts off the car, but you two don’t race out of the car yet. Taking in the quietness of the area, the advantage of living in a resort town, most of your neighbors are gone by September.
There is something about him, Jensen, just makes you feel alive, makes you feel, almost whole again. He makes you comfortable with yourself, and your confidence overtakes you. That you slide over to him. Your lips find his neck and you start to kiss. His breath hitches, and he picks you up so you can straddle his lap.
Breaking from his lips for a second to explore his neck again, and start to leave marks up and down in. Jensen, breaks the silence.
“You know, your house is right there, we don’t have to act like some horny school kids.” He jokes, but then leans in and starts to kiss your neck and chest to make his own marks to match the ones he knows you started to make on him.
“I know but…fuck…” You try to form a sentence but can only string a few words together before your mind is distracted by his lips.
He pulls back giving you a wink, “you started this.” he smirks back.
“No, you started this, six months ago, when you kissed me for the first time.” You counter, putting the blame back on him. Anding to torture by rocking agist him slightly.
Jensen lets out a small grown at this, his hands have found their way to the hem of your vintage concert t-shirt. It's soft between his finger tips, but he would rather have something else that soft between them. He quickly looks to the left and right of him, noticing that the houses on either side look abandoned, closed up for the summer season. It's almost dusk, but still light out enough that anyone passing by could see. He’s tempted, lord knows, seeing more of her, has never been an issue for him. But this is all new for Y/N, and it is her hometown.
“Fine, but just for the record, you started this. Six months and one week ago. Back in that bar. When you gave me that look and told me….what was it again…my Dean Winchester was showing?” He jokes. Giving her that thousand watt smile, then pulling her down for a searing kiss.
Pulling back from him and letting your lungs fill with air, you reply, “God you're cute. Come on, let's get inside, before the neighbors start talking. We can order dinner.” Doing your best, but failing to gracefully get off his lap and onto the other side of the bench seat. You push open the passenger door, and get out.
*********
Dinner of pizza, classic movies, and popcorn were on the list of festivities for the night. Having Jensen in the same space was perfect, it was easy, there were no awkward fumbles of getting in each other's way, you seemed to move with ease.
After the second movie you were both getting tired, You were tired from the emotional rollercoaster ride that you went on today, and Jensen was tired driving from Texas to Michigan.
Letting out a yawn for the fourth time Jensen finally called you out. “Alright that's it.” Picking up the remote from the coffee table and shutting off the tv.
“Hey, come on, we can finish it, I am fine really.” You say, before another yawn hits.
This causes him to yawn as well. “No, come on. I am tired too.” Getting up from the couch, he grabs your hand and leads you to the bedroom.
Both dressed down in your comfy clothes after dinner, him in gray sweats and a white shirt, you in black leggings and purple tank top.
He gives you a kiss before turning towards the guest room, but you stop him.
“Where are you going?” You question, still holding onto his hand.
Turning back to you he looks at your still interlocking hand, and then to you. “I just thought…well…I didn’t want to assume.”
He starts to explain, but you cut him off, pulling him back to you, bringing your one hand behind his head and pulling it towards you and wrapping your other around his waist. Crashing his lips into yours. You back into the doorframe, and he braces himself so he doesn’t put his full weight on you.
Pulling out of the intense kiss, you take a second to breathe.
“You're not staying in that spare room. I was stupid enough to have you sleep in there once before, but never again.” You say matter of fact. Walking back into the room, pulling him along.
Jensen follows, kicking the door closed behind him, happy to follow wherever you go.
Summary: A snowstorm forces Y/N to sleep over at her friend and co-star, Jensen’s apartment in Toronto. Seeing Y/N in his clothes (and in his bed) makes Jensen determined to finally tell her how he feels about her.

Y/N was a breath of fresh air. It’d been a long time since Jensen felt such an instant connection to another person. They’d become friends as soon as she walked into the makeup trailer and joked about his hobo beard. It’d been strange coming onto a new set where no one knew you. Everyone else had been on The Boys since the beginning and were already friends. They were welcoming, but he and Y/N bonded over being the newbies.
They were both lonely, too; living in a new city far away from friends and family wasn’t easy. Jensen’s divorce was only finalised the day before he came here, and Y/N had been single for a long time, finding it hard to keep a relationship in this industry.
Their friendship began after his first week of filming. It was Friday, and he was returning his supe suit to wardrobe when he bumped into her on her way to do the same thing.
“Hey, Y/N, how are ya?” Jensen smiled softly at her.
“Jensen, hey! I’m good, thanks. You?” she smiled widely, her face lighting up and radiating pure happiness at bumping into him. Shit, did it feel good that someone actually looked happy to see him at the end of the day. It’d been years since his ex-wife looked at him with so much joy and excitement.
“Not gonna lie. I’m glad it’s Friday!” Jensen chuckled. Y/N giggled and nodded in agreement. “What are your plans for the weekend?” he asked as they fell into step with one another across the lot.
“Uhm, catch up on some sleep, read next week’s script and do a little more unpacking. Nothing exciting,” Y/N smiled, but Jensen noticed it didn’t reach her eyes. “What about you?”
“Same. You know, we could go over the script together if you want. No pressure or anything, but you could come to my apartment, and we could get takeout and run lines?” Jensen asked, trying not to sound too hopeful at the thought of some company.
“I’d love that!” The smile that broke out was beautiful, and that was the exact moment Jensen knew he was in trouble.
Since that weekend, they tried to get together outside of work twice a week when their schedules allowed, once at her place and once at his. After several visits to Jensen’s apartment, Y/N noticed a distinct lack of dinner food in his refrigerator. When she’d asked about it, he’d just shrugged and said he didn’t see the point of cooking when it was just him. It was easier to order in. And so, the night in Y/N’s apartment with home-cooked food began.
Tonight though, it was TV night at Jensen’s. They’d decided on Thai food, and she gave him her order before leaving set so he could place it while she picked up snacks and drinks from the store on her way over.
Knocking on his door, Y/N shifted from foot to foot, hugging her arms around her body to try and stay warm. It had turned unseasonably cold, and light snow showers were expected in the small hours of the morning.
“Hey, sweetheart. Come on in. Food just got here,” Jensen said as he stood aside to let her into his apartment.
“Thanks. It’s getting cold out,” Y/N stepped through the door, and Jensen held his hand out to take her tote shopping bag filled with snacks and drinks. She handed it over willingly, glad to be rid of its weight.
“Jeez, what the hell is in this thing? Did you buy the whole store?” Jensen joked at its heaviness.
“Sorry!” she giggled. “I couldn’t decide what I wanted, so I bought-”
“Everything?” Jensen chuckled.
“Hey! I’ve had a really shitty week on set, as you know, and it’s almost that time of the month, and I’m hormonal, so I got a little of everything I could think of that makes me feel better.”
“I got heat packs somewhere if you need them, Tylenol too,” Jensen told her with a soft smile. He was far too adorable for his own good sometimes.
“Thank you, I’ll be fine, though. It’s still a few days away, but damn, the PMS is strong this month!” she chuckled.
“If there’s anything I can do, just ask, alright?” Jensen fixed his gaze on her until she looked up and met his kind green eyes.
“How about a beer and some of that delicious-smelling food?” she grinned.
“Why?” Y/N whined, trying not to cry.
“He left to get a Head of Department job,” Jensen chuckled at the utter heartbreak on her face.
“But… but… but he loves her! And he didn’t tell her, and now he’ll never know that she loves him too, and it’s just so sad!” A few tears rolled down her cheeks, and she tried to wipe them away before he noticed.
“Are you crying?” Jensen smirked.
“Yes! Hormonal, remember?” she deadpanned. “Pass me that cake, will you?”
“Oh, sweetheart,” Jensen chuckled, picking up the plate from the coffee table and handing it to her. “You know as well as I do that on next week’s episode, one of them is going to confess their feelings, and all will be right in the world again,” he soothed her, putting his arm around her shoulders and pulling her into his side, chuckling as she picked up a slice of cake and shoved it carelessly in her mouth.
“I know. I’m sorry,” Y/N sniffed, and Jensen tried to hide his chuckle.
“Don’t be. You never have to hide how you feel with me, alright? I’ll always be here to make you laugh, smile, or wipe away your tears,” he spoke softly into her hair, pressing his lips against it gently. He tried not to smell her hair, no one wanted to be that guy, but with his face practically buried in the silky strands, he couldn’t help himself. Jensen inhaled deeply through his nose, closing his eyes as the scent of her shampoo made him shiver, and he felt himself relax with his slow exhale. He really needed to get a grip on his feelings. He knew she didn’t see him that way.
Y/N sat up and wiped her eyes after staying curled into his body for a few minutes. Jensen reluctantly dropped his arm from her shoulders. “Come on, let’s watch that Desperate Housewives shit you like to watch,” Jensen huffed, but she knew it was for show. He loved that show. Maybe even more than she did.
“You mean Real Housewives, and I’ve told you how many times, Jensen? I can watch this one on my own at the weekend. You don’t need to subject yourself to all the rich people's drama!” she laughed.
“But I wanna see what happens at the dinner par-” Jensen stopped short when he noticed her smirk and raised an eyebrow. “Alright, you got me! That show is annoyingly addictive, and I kinda like it!” Jensen said, lowering his head in defeat.
“Right? It’s not usually my kind of thing either, but damn if I don’t love that bunch of rich bitches and their petty rich bitch dramas!” Y/N laughed. “But I have to use the bathroom first,” she said, standing from the couch.
“Uh, Jensen?” Her slightly panicked tone made him look up at her, worry etched on his brow. “I thought the forecast was for light snow in the early hours?” she tilted her head, staring out the window with a frown.
“Yeah, that’s what they’ve been saying for the last few days,” he said as he looked out the window. “Holy shit!” he exclaimed as he took in the heavy blizzard battering the streets of Toronto. It looked like it had been on for a while, and the fat, fluffy flakes didn’t look like they would stop anytime soon.
Jensen turned on the local news channel to see what they said about the unexpected snowstorm as Y/N headed to the bathroom. The news anchor was reporting that traffic was disrupted all over town, there was the potential for power outages due to the storm’s severity, and it wasn’t expected to stop anytime soon.
His phone chimed with an email from Eric saying filming was postponed due to the weather for at least tomorrow and further updates would be sent as the situation unfolded. Jensen stared out the window again, watching everything turn white as far as the eye could see.
“Sweetheart, I don’t want you driving home in that,” Jensen spoke at the sound of her feet padding across his hardwood floors. He was still facing the window and smiled softly as he felt her presence behind him. “I want you to stay here tonight. You can have the bed, and I’ll take the couch. I can give you clothes to change into. Make you more comfortable.”
“I will not kick you out of your bed, Jay. I’ll take the couch-”
“No. You are my guest, and you’ll take the bed.”
“You know we’re both adults here. I’m pretty sure we can share the bed,” Y/N giggled.
“I, uh, I couldn’t…”
“Yes, you can. I’m more than happy to share. Just stick to your side, Ackles!” she laughed.
“Alright then. We’ll share, and I promise to stay on my side. Scouts honour!” Jensen winked. “Boss emailed, and they’ve shut down the set until this blows over. So, uh, you want that change of clothes now?” he asked. “Since we’ve got nowhere to go and no work tomorrow, I thought we could start one of these box sets we’re always talking about. You could also open the wine since you won’t be driving home.”
“After Housewives?” Y/N grinned.
“After Housewives.” Jensen laughed.
“You’re sure it’s okay to share? My couch is comfortable. I don’t mind sleeping there,” Jensen asked as Y/N cleared up his beer bottles, her wine glass, and an embarrassing amount of junk food wrappers from the coffee table. He insisted she didn’t have to because she was his guest but argued it was the least she could do.
“I’m fine with it, but I won’t force you if you're uncomfortable. But that blanket over the couch won’t give you much warmth in a room with floor-to-ceiling windows when there’s a blizzard outside,” Y/N replied, and Jensen had to admit she had a point.
“Okay then,” he nodded. “What side of the bed do you usually sleep on?”
“Uhm, I don’t really have a side, but I like to sleep closest to the window,” Y/N said, nervously pulling on the hem of his oversized shirt.
“Well, that works out perfectly because my side is right, leaving the window side all yours,” Jensen smiled. “And you can take a new toothbrush from the cabinet.”
“Thanks,” she shuffled on her feet for a few seconds before busying herself with the last tidying up. She watched him slowly walk towards the bathroom to get ready for bed.
Jensen was already under the covers when Y/N entered his room, and her heart flopped to her stomach at the sight. This wasn’t something she’d ever expected to see; Jensen in bed, lowering the covers and patting the empty side of the mattress in invitation.
And damn, did Jensen wish she’d change her mind about them sharing his bed because seeing her drowning in his clothes gave him sinful ideas and inappropriate thoughts about his friend and co-star.
Y/N smiled and walked around the bed, crawling in next to him. Settling herself on her back and snuggling into the soft covers, she sighed contentedly. “This is the most comfortable mattress and sheets I’ve ever laid on,” she smiled tiredly. “I’ve not gone to sleep yet, and I don’t wanna get up!”
Jensen laughed and rolled to his side to face her. “Well, at least we don’t have to get up for work, so we can sleep as long as we like,” he grinned.
“Mhm,” she hummed tiredly before yawning loudly.
“Good night, Y/N.” Jensen smiled.
“Night, Jensen.”
Jensen couldn’t sleep knowing she was so close, and he couldn’t reach out and touch or hold her. What he wouldn’t give to snuggle up behind her, wrap his arms around her waist, and pull her tight to his chest.
Y/N was curled on her side, facing away from him, still and silent. Sleeping deeply and, he hoped, having sweet dreams. She was an enigma to him. She is beautiful, intelligent, and funny, the least Hollywood you could get, and completely down to earth for someone as well-known as her. She was the most humble and gracious person he’d ever met in this industry.
Even using his ex-wife as an example, she didn’t even have a quarter of the fame Y/N had, but you’d think from her behaviour and attitude she was an Oscar-winning actress. The truth was, she had a pretty face but no real talent. Well, other than manipulation and getting her way.
Jensen struggled now to see why he’d married her in the first place. He remembered that he had asked her on a date because he’d just heard his best friend was getting married, and he was now the only single one in his friend group from his early L.A. days.
He settled. Pure and simple. He knows he could’ve done better, but she was the “safe” choice, the girl next door - at least on the outside. They had a good relationship in the beginning. He genuinely cared about her, liked her even, but he never loved her. Not like a boyfriend should love his girlfriend.
She didn’t show her true colours until they were married. Jensen had seen glimpses of them, heard the stories, but never experienced them in full effect until they’d said: “I do”.
It started with her suggesting he leave Supernatural because he was away for nine months of the year, and she missed him and hated being alone. He’d suggested she try and find work on a show, but the only places that considered her were the daytime soaps, and she’d made her position on those very clear; they were for those starting out, too old, or without enough talent to do anything else.
Jensen then asked her if they could start a family. Firstly, so she wasn’t alone and second, he wanted kids, and she did too, or at least that’s what she told him when they were dating. She put him off for a while, saying she didn’t want to have a newborn while he was in Vancouver and they’d try soon. They never did. It was always one excuse after another.
So, he left her to do what she’d always wanted to; fashion design, and he encouraged her every step of the way. Her clothing line was successful and put her in touch with a lot of people in the fashion world. It was there she met Greg.
Greg was one of the models she hired for her menswear collection, and they worked well as a team. Jensen always thought he was a good guy and got on well with him. It was a complete surprise to him when he came home early one Friday afternoon to find a Greg in his bed. Naked. With his wife.
“I want a divorce. You’ll be hearing from my lawyer on Monday. I’m flying back to Vancouver tonight. I’ll send someone to pack up my stuff next week. After that, the house is yours to do whatever you want with. That’s all you’ll be getting from me, which considering the stipulation in our prenup for infidelity, is way more than you deserve.”
And that was it. The end of a twelve-year marriage. Jensen had later found out she’d been having a full-fledged affair with Greg for months. He was even more hurt that the male model had been living in his home, only leaving whenever Jensen came home.
Jensen’s attention was brought back to the here and now when, with a sigh, Y/N rolled in her sleep, curled her body into his and rested her hand on his chest. He froze for a moment, his mind wondering what he should do next. Stay where he is or wrap his arms around her and hug her into his body.
Slowly turning to lay on his side, Jensen faced her, slid one arm under her neck, and the other snaked around her waist. He chuckled softly as she shuffled closer to him and hummed in her sleep. And man was that the cutest sound he had ever heard.
Y/N didn’t know what woke her, but when her eyes fluttered open in the dark room, she was too hot and felt a weight around her stomach. She tried to move, but a heavy block was at her back, and the weight around her core tightened. Turning her head, she finally realised that it was Jensen behind her.
He was spooning her, trapping her body with his, and the heat he radiated made her too hot. Despite all that, she smiled and snuggled further into the unbelievably comfy mattress. Then, she also noticed her neck was using his other arm as a pillow, and it was the best goddamn pillow she’d ever used.
Y/N scooted further back into his body, leaving no space between them and settled into Jensen’s arms, a contented grin across her face as she drifted back asleep.
Jensen had woken with her startling awake. He instinctively tightened his hold on her when he thought she was pulling away from him, not wanting this little paradise to be over yet. He hadn’t slept this well in months. Years, maybe. He hoped with everything in him that she’d settle down and go back to sleep. The sun wasn’t even up yet, not even a hint of it on the horizon, so it was still early. Yeah, it might’ve been selfish of him, but he just wanted to sleep for a few more hours with her in his arms before she went home, leaving him to sleep alone in this big ass bed again.
When she’d stopped shifting around, and her breathing evened out again, he smiled, grateful beyond words that he got her like this for a few more hours. He made an important decision before he fell back into a deep, dreamless sleep.
In the morning, he was going to ask her out. Ask her to be his girl.
When Y/N next woke, she was alone. Rolling to her back, she stretched her body like a cat, waking her muscles up. Relaxing back into the bed, she marvelled again about the comfiest bed she’d ever slept in. She reckoned the Egyptian cotton sheets helped with that too.
Jensen’s scent surrounded her, making her smile as she remembered waking in the darkness with his arms around her. It felt good. She couldn’t lie about that, and not just sharing a bed with anyone—although that was nice—it was sharing a bed with the man she’d been falling for ever since she first laid eyes on him. It had been magical, and it might have been greedy or selfish of her, but she wanted more of that. More of him.
The smell of freshly brewed coffee reached her senses, and she pulled the thick comforter from her well-rested body. Climbing out of bed, she walked to his window and saw the blanket of white covering the city. Y/N felt giddy for just a second at the thought she might need to stay at Jensen’s apartment again tonight if the snow didn’t clear.
Shuffling down the hall, she grinned as Jensen’s voice floated down to meet her. He was singing along to some old Garth Brooks song, and his voice made her feel weak in the knees. He was an incredibly talented singer. He was insanely gifted at whatever he put his hand to, which was only a little frustrating.
Leaning against the wall, she folded her arms and smiled as she watched him mix pancake batter whilst swaying his hips and singing quietly. “You just gonna stand there and stare, sweetheart?” He smirked, looked up at her for the first time, and his jaw dropped.
His clothes were rumpled and creased on her small frame, his shirt hung off one of her bare shoulders, and her face was still soft from sleep. The messy bun she’d come to bed in was barely hanging on, and the delicate strands of hair that had fallen out of its elastic confines were wildly framing her face. He’d never seen a woman look more beautiful than she did at this moment.
“Good morning,” Y/N smiled, her voice slightly deeper and a little more gravelly than he was used to, making him gulp.
“Morning. Coffee?” Jensen didn’t know why his voice was higher in pitch than usual or why his palms were sweating, but he did know that he hadn’t felt like this with a girl in a long time. Maybe ever.
“Mmm, yes, please,” she grinned as she walked over to the kitchen island, climbed up on one of the stools, and hummed her thanks when he placed a mug of steaming hot coffee. “You know,” Y/N spoke after her first sip. “I’ll never understand how you always make my coffee better than I can!” she giggled as she watched the tips of his ears go pink.
“Pancakes okay for breakfast?” Jensen asked.
“Sure, sounds good. What can I help with?”
“Nothing, sweetheart. You just enjoy your coffee. I got this under control,” Jensen winked and turned to the stove, busying himself with pouring batter into the pan. “There’s strawberries in the fridge if you want some with your pancakes?”
“Sure. I’ll get those.” Y/N hopped off the stool before he could protest and headed over to the fridge.
“Uh, you know, the news is saying the temperature will stay below freezing today, meaning that snow,” he pointed the spatula out the window, “isn’t going anywhere. And there might be more snow showers throughout the day.”
She closed the fridge and stared out the window. “Damn. You think set will stay closed?” Y/N asked, throwing a strawberry in her mouth. She really doesn’t know how adorable she is, Jensen thought.
“Probably,” he stated, flipping cooked pancakes onto a plate. “And, uh, I’d feel much better about this whole thing if you’d stay here again. I don’t want you driving on those roads.”
Y/N grinned, “Aww, look at you all worried about me! Anyone would think you’re my boyfriend the way you’re behaving,” she teased.
“Wouldn’t be so bad, would it?” Jensen asked, his cheeks flushing to match the tips of his ears. “You and me? I mean, you’re beautiful, kind, smart, funny, and I like you. A lot.” He wasn’t sure where this was coming from, but once he started, it seemed like he couldn’t stop the word vomit. Knowing it was out there now, he sighed and had to let the cards fall.
“You, uh,” Y/N huffed a breath, trying to control her rapidly beating heart. “You like me?” she frowned in confusion.
“Yeah, I do,” Jensen smiled and put a plate before her. “I understand you might not feel the same, but I thought you should know. I wanted to get it out there, and you know, if you think you might like me too, that’d be awesome, and if you want to, I’ll take you on a date, and we can-”
“Jensen!” she chuckled. “Stop. Take a breath. You’re rambling!”
“Uh, sorry. ‘M nervous,” he chuckled and rubbed his hand over his neck.
“I like you too, Jensen.” she smiled shyly.
“You do?” His voice was high-pitched and shocked, making her throw her head back and laugh.
“Yes! Don’t sound so surprised!” Y/N scolded playfully.
“Sorry, I just- really? You like me?” he checked, and she nodded her head. “This isn’t… you’re not messing with me, are you?” Jensen asked, and she shook her head.
“I like like you, Jensen. Always have. Ever since I met you and even before that, truth be told, but once I met you, it grew from a celebrity crush to me like liking you.”
Jensen’s phone ringing interrupted her confession, and although his first instinct was to throw the damn thing across the room, he looked down to see his mom FaceTiming him.
“Hold that thought, sweetheart,” he smiled softly. “Hey, Ma. How are you?”
“We’re fine, son. How are you? Are you safe? Warm? They’re saying the cold snap up there is supposed to stay another few days.” The questions his mom fired at him made him chuckle.
“We’re fine, Mom. Set is closed until further notice, and I did a full grocery shop two days ago. We’re just gonna hunker down until the worst is over,” Jensen said without thinking.
“We?” His mom asked with a hint of excitement in her voice.
“Uh, yeah. Y/N’s here. We were-”
“Oh my God!” His mom screamed excitedly through the phone. “Honey? Honey! Oh, there you are! Jensen finally asked Y/N out! She’s at his apartment right now!”
The glee was evident in her tone, and Y/N could hear the excited muffled voice of another male, his dad, she assumed and giggled as Jensen’s face became redder and redder with every second.
“Ma? I haven’t asked her out yet,” Jensen said with a nervous chuckle, his eyes flicking to hers briefly before they focused back on his phone screen. “I was just going to when you called-”
“She’s there? Right now? Next to you?” his mom’s joy quickly turned to panic, and Y/N couldn’t stop the loud laugh that escaped. Jensen grinned at his mom and turned his phone around so his mom could see her.
“Hey, Mrs Ackles!” she waved, still laughing.
“Oh, Y/N sweetie, so nice to finally meet you! I don’t mean to cut this short, but my son has been talking about asking you out since you met, so I’m gonna go, and I hope I get to meet you in person soon,” his mom smiled at her, and she instantly knew where Jensen got his kind smile from.
“I hope so, Mrs Ackles!” Y/N said, feeling the heat rise from her neck. Jensen turned his phone back towards him, and Y/N failed to hold in her laughter as his mom continued as if she wasn’t on speaker.
“Jensen! You said she was beautiful, but you didn’t tell me she was that beautiful! Not even a stitch of makeup on, and she’s gorgeous-”
“Mom!” Jensen scolded with a laugh. “She can hear you!”
“Oh shoot! I’ll just… call you later. Oh, but text me if she says ye-”
“Bye, Mom!” Jensen shook his head in exasperation as he ended the call. “I’m sorry about her, she uh,” Jensen chuckled nervously again, running a hand over his neck. “She’s heard a lot about you, and is really hoping-” Jensen didn’t finish his ramble as her soft lips pressed to his.
It took him by surprise at first, but when his brain finally caught up with what was happening, he wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her body flush with his. Her arms wound around his neck, her hands playing with his long hair.
Jensen felt her grin against him when he licked at her lips, asking for entrance. She obliged and opened her mouth, grinning wider at the groan rumbling from his chest when their tongues met.
This is what kisses should be like. The goosebumps over his whole body, the butterflies swarming in his stomach, feeling completely and utterly at peace with himself and the world.
Reluctantly, he pulled away, placing his forehead on hers. “So, uh,” he said, chewing his bottom lip. “When all this snow is gone, can I take you to dinner?”
“Are you asking me out?” she giggled teasingly. Jensen only chuckled in response. “I would love to go to dinner with you.”
Y/N’s smile was brighter than the snow outside, and Jensen felt bad—for a split second—to be covering it with his lips.
Warnings: Fluff, flirty Jensen, minor language, hints towards fun times.
Summary: Five years ago, Y/N had a choice to make: stay with the man who was breaking her heart or move on. Rather unsuccessfully, she chose the latter. Jensen learned the hard way that you don’t want to let past heartbreaks keep you from finding the one. Having been burned, love is not something either one trusts or feels openly without great hesitation. However, after holding on to what they had and being unable to move on, will Y/N and Jensen finally be able to realize they are better together than they are apart?
(Set in 2015)
Chapter Summary: Jensen takes the reader on their first date as an official couple. He gets flirty with the reader.
A/N: Hey guys, thank you for being so patient waiting for this part. This chapter was a hard one for me to get where I wanted it to go. I have been trying hard to figure out how I want this story to end, and I do think it's coming to an end soon. There is probably two more parts left, but we will see what needs to happen before the end.

Unfamiliar buildings and street signs passed by as we made our way to a destination that only Jensen knew. “Where are we going, Jay?” I asked for what felt like the hundredth time, an impatient groan escaping my lips.
His laughter filled the car before fading into a light sigh of his own. “I forgot how impatient you can be. Especially when you have been kept out of the loop.”
“You really aren’t going to tell me, are you?” I pouted.
“And lose the opportunity to see your adorable pouty face? Absolutely not,” Jensen beamed.
Groaning, I stared out the window again hoping to glean any clues that could tell me where we were going. “How’d you even come up with a surprise date idea between last night and this morning?” I grumbled, folding my arms across my chest.
A soft rosy hue heated Jensen’s cheeks as he tried to hide a bashful grin by biting down on his bottom lip. “I’ve had a long list of things I always wanted to do with you since the moment I knew I wanted to spend every moment possible with you for the rest of my life.” His voice grew softer the more he explained.
My breath hitched in my throat, leaving me unable to respond. “When did you realize that?” I breathed out, trying to control the waiver in my voice.
A beat passed as Jensen considered his words. “When you told me you couldn’t be friends with benefits anymore.”
My eyebrows pulled together as I looked closer at his face. “What do you mean?”
“The night you came over to my place,” he started, licking his lips nervously, “I’d been slowly realizing and accepting my feelings for you for weeks at that point. Then you texted me after a week of silence that we needed to talk.” Jensen took a deep breath. “I knew something was off. We had never gone that long, intentionally, without talking. Quickly, I realized that you were going to end things… and it hit me. I never wanted to lose you. I didn’t want to go a day without you in my life. Like an idiot, I realized it too late.”
I swallowed the baseball sized lump in the back of my throat. Flashbacks of that night filtered in the back of my mind. I hadn’t given him a chance to speak that night… The only way I knew I could do what I did is if I controlled the whole situation - when I got there, where I stood, what I said, and when I left. Giving Jensen any opportunity to change my mind wasn’t an option. If I had, I would have caved immediately. Looking back at the night now… maybe it wouldn’t have been such a bad thing.
Swiping my tongue gently over my lips, a slight crease between my eyebrows, I looked at Jensen again. A well hidden sadness had settled in behind his easy-going charm. Something that only came out when we talked about our past. Something that he hadn’t been able to heal from yet.
“I’m so sorry, Jay,” I apologized, my throat tight. Unable to look at him, I stared out the window again trying to keep any tears from forming as the pin-pricks started in the corners of my eyes.
“No,” he said firmly, his hand reaching over and firmly gripping my forearm. “You have nothing to be sorry for. I’m the one who hurt you. I know this now and I accept it. Losing five years with you, seeing you be happy with other guys…” Jensen looked over at me with pain radiating from his gaze. “Those were my consequences. Believe me, I could have said something that night, or stopped you from leaving, or literally done anything different than what I did. But I didn’t. Because I was upset. Mostly, I was scared that it wouldn’t matter if I said anything anyway.”
Jensen slid his hand down my arm, slipping it into my hand and pulling our hands to rest between us on the center console. I chewed on the inside of my lip as I mulled over his confession.
“All that matters, all that should matter,” he emphasized, “is that we have each other now.”
“We do,” I agree in a whisper.

Multi-color lights twinkled in the trees that surrounded the outdoor mini golf course. I bit my lip, pulling it between my teeth, while bouncing on my toes lightly to try and disguise the excitement bubbling from within me while we waited in line.
“Mini golf?” I asked, the happiness in my voice causing a small lilt in my tone. “This is something you’ve always wanted to do with me?”
A little half smirk, the kind where Jensen knows the truth and it has made him happy, tugged up the corner of his lips. Small wrinkles formed in the crease of his eyes as the twinkling lights lit up his face, and made his green eyes shine.
“You told me when we first met that you’d never gone to play mini-golf. So, naturally, I’m curious to see how terrible you’d be at it,” he joked.
I threw my head back, laughing a little harder than probably necessary. A few people in front of us, looked back towards us to see what the ruckus might have been. From the corner of my eye I noticed a young woman’s eyes widen as she tugged on her friend’s shirt, pointing back at us. Nudging Jensen, a large smile on my face, I nodded my head towards the girls.
We both gave them a wave. “Can’t take this one anywhere,” Jensen joked, winking at the girls.
I scoffed, playfully swatting his bicep as I laughed again. “You know, I could totally ruin this moment for you.”
“How? By telling me you’ve already gone mini-golfing? That you took golf lessons?” Jensen smiled radiantly at me, laughter still dancing in his eyes.
I crossed my arms over my chest, taking a step forward in line as the line moved. “Well, if you’re going to take the fun out of it, I’m not going to tell you.” I stick my tongue out at him.
Jensen chuckled, moving forward again. “I didn’t expect you to not have had opportunities to go after five years of us being apart. Mini golfing is a popular date idea and paparazzi are very good at getting photos of movie stars on, what was it, second dates?”
I looked over at Jensen through narrowed eyes, my eyebrows deeply pulled together. “What are you… Oh… You’ve seen the photos of Chris and me? Yeah, it was our second date,” I replied after taking a moment to think about what Jensen meant. Kicking the gravel beneath our feet, I divert my gaze away from him.
“Hey,” he said softly, pulling my face back gently with a finger under my chin. “It’s okay. I’m not mad… I’m simply fulfilling a dream and making up for lost time. Besides… I bet we are going to have a way more fun time than you did last time.”
“Can’t be too hard to beat,” I laughed softly. “The mini golf course was swarmed by paparazzi, making it impossible for us to play.”
“Perfect,” Jensen beamed with a slight puff of his chest.
I rolled my eyes as we finally made our way to the window. Jensen paid while I looked carefully over the wide variety of colors for golf balls. Feeling his eyes on me, I glanced his way. A dirty smirk danced on his lips as he stared at me.
“Like looking at balls, Y/N?” Jensen teased, his voice low.
I narrowed my eyes at him, scoffing. “Only when they’re pretty.”
Moving to stand behind me, he reached over my shoulder to select a dark blue one. “Mine must be beautiful to you then,” he whispered into my ear, his breath fanning over my neck. “You certainly used to spend a lot of time looking at them.”
Heat flooded my cheeks and chest, trickling down to my core, and scrambling any rational thoughts.
Did he really just say that? Out loud? In public?
A devious chuckle rumbled in his chest behind me. “Pick a ball Y/N, and let the games begin.”
Quickly, I grabbed a ball in front of me, barely noticing it was red. Much like my face. With a small squeak, caused by Jensen’s hand slipping down low on my waist, I headed out towards the first putting green.
Jensen
“You know it’s supposed to go through the tunnel, right?” Y/N giggled on the other end of the green.
I huff, as I line up my shot again. Checking my line with one last glance, I notice Y/N swaying in her spot, her eyes watching me intently. Taking a deep breath, I focused on the ball and my swing. Bringing my club back and following through, I connected with the ball and sent it through the narrow tunnel that sits beneath a plastic boulder that blocks the green on the other side.
“Finally,” I grumble as I count three swings already for this hole. Shaking out my shoulders, I strut towards Y/N as she gets ready to line up her shot. Two feet of putting green is all that stood between her and beating me at this hole with a better score.
I kept the charade of being upset with this hole as Y/N tapped her ball into the hole, hitting par for the first time all night. Secretly, I’ve been screwing it up on purpose after watching her do so well.
“Yes!” she cheered. “Par and a lower score than you!”
The biggest smile brought sunshine to Y/N’s face, making it impossible not to smile back, especially as she broke out into a small victory dance. Soft laughter flowed from my chest. God, if I could make her smile like that every day, I’d be the luckiest and happiest guy alive.
“You got lucky, kid,” I half heartedly grumble.
“Maybe,” she beamed. “And don’t call me kid! I’m only a year younger than you!”
Rolling my eyes with a smirk on my lips, we moved on to the next and final hole on the course. As Y/N lined up her shot, I stood off to the side behind her. My eyes traveled down the length of her body, following every curve and soaking in everything about her. Something in me had been awakened last night during our imbibed makeout session and was now insatiable.
My soul had a taste, a tease, of everything it had been craving since the day she left. It made sense to me now why no one else ever made me feel as good as she did. They weren’t her. They couldn’t provide me the same high that she could. Since last night, every thought I have had has been consumed by her… This side of me had been fairly dormant for months as we got reacquainted, but that kiss… the way she looked at me… Everything changed and now I’m not sure if I can hold back any longer, or if I want to. I will for her until she’s ready, but I can still show her how much I desire her. Otherwise, how else can I prove to her that I’m here to stay?
“Jay, everything okay?” her voice, soft and concerned, drifted into my ears and snapping me out of my thoughts.
“Yeah,” I smile at her, gazing heatedly at her. “Everything is great.”
Y/N steps in front of me, her own gaze a bit more quizzical. She carefully reaches up and runs one of her hands through my hair then down the back of my neck, causing me to shiver. Her pupils enlarge the slightest bit when she realizes what my stare meant, her lips parting slightly as she swipes her tongue over her bottom lip. Slowly, her gaze falls to my lips. Wrapping my arms around her waist, I pull Y/N close. Her warm body melts into mine.
“Jay… I still think there’s a lot for us to talk about… but maybe they can wait for one more night,” she breathed out softly. A warm heat radiated from her eyes as she bit down on her bottom lip, pulling it in while she continued to stare at my lips.
“Then what do you say we get out of here?” I ask, my voice husky.

“I don't think I can fly back tomorrow.” Your eyes fluttered shut to stop the tears that were threatening to spill. When you opened them back, you saw the look of tremendous guilt and sadness on your boyfriend's face. You didn't want to cry in front of him and cloud his mind with more agony yet a stray tear managed to roll down your cheek. “I'm so sorry, sweetheart. The covid protocols are…you know how it is…fuck, I miss you so much and it's fuckin’ killing me that I can't be there with you on your birthday.”
“Jay, don't. It's not your fault.” You said, placing down the ipad on the table and leaned back on the couch. You always thought the long distance relationship came with too much emotional baggage and pain but you were willing to accept them all because you fell for Jensen so hard and fast and the thought of living without him scared the shit out of you. “Just two more months and then I can move to the States and it'll be okay.”
“I know but–”
“Jensen…” you sighed.
“You didn't even hear me out.”
“What more can you say?”
“I miss you. These face times are not enough anymore. I-I want you…sweetheart, I need you with me, hold you close as I drift off to sleep and wake up with you in my arms. I just…need you here. A-and I'm tryin’ to get through the protocols.” Jensen's green eyes were clouded with emotions, the loneliness weighing heavily on his shoulders.
“Even if you don't make it to the flight, know that it's alright. We'll make it work. We always do.” You offered him a sad smile. You were seven thousand miles away from him. You knew that if he didn't get on that flight within the next three hours, he wouldn't be here with you on your birthday and it sucked. Just like him, you needed him with you. You missed him so bad.
Jensen didn't say anything for the next few minutes. It was something you did often. No words said. You just wanted to be in each other's company even if it was through the illuminated screen of your respective electronic devices.
“I love you,” you said to him and he flashed you his most beautiful smile. The type of smile that instantly lit up your world and made you happy. The type of smile you adorned a lot. The type of smile that feels like you're home. He was your home.
“I love you too.” He said, “I'll do my best.”
“I know you will, Jay.” He nodded.
It was your birthday but it didn't feel like one. Since the morning, you hadn't heard from Jensen and you were worried out of your mind. In the evening, you stood there in your party dress, looking around at the smiling faces of your friends but there was one thing missing. You kept checking your phone. You wanted him to be here so you got your eyes on the door hoping he would walk in any minute but he didn't. And that's when the feeling sank in.
You were going to spend your birthday without Jensen.
You blew out the candles, your eyes burning with the unshed tears. You tried to smile for the guests and laugh with your friends but your heart was filled with despair.
It was close to ten. You were lying on your bed after making an excuse of not feeling well. Your close friends had lingered around for a while before they left. That's when you heard your sister call for you.
You sighed and pulled the covers close to you, not willing to socialise with anyone further. You heard the door creak open.
“Go away,” you grumbled.
“I didn't spend the last thirteen hours on a flight to hear this, sweetheart.” You sat up and your heart did a somersault in your chest. You knew this voice all too well and you missed hearing the way it reverberated off the walls surrounding you, providing you some deep comfort.
“Jensen?” You sprinted towards the figure of a man lingering at the doorway and crashed into him, colliding with his firm chest as a pair of arms came up to wrap themselves around you. He brought your face to his and kissed your lips. Tears threatened to spill as your lips molded with his. You missed him so much.
He picked you up and you jumped to hook your legs at his waist and he let out a chuckle. With you in his arms, he walked towards the bed and put you down gently on the soft mattress.
“Hi, baby. Happy birthday.” He said.
“Hi.” Your words were a mere whisper as Jensen traced the outline of your face with his finger and placed a chaste kiss on your forehead.
“Where are you goin’?” You asked as he got up to close the door.
“I have something for you.” Jensen said as he closed the door to the room behind him. You wiggled your eyebrows at him and he rolled his eyes. “Get your mind outta the gutter.”
You pouted and he said, “I'm saving that present for later. But first–” he took a deep breath “--I want you to have this.”
You watched as he slowly went down on one knee. Eyes wide, you saw as he pulled out a jewellery box out of his jacket’s pocket. You gasped, standing up while he opened the box in front of you to reveal a ring inside.
“Jens…”
“Y/N, I…Holy shit, I thought this will be easy after practicing for the last five hours straight–” you laughed, a tear rolling down your cheek “--Sweetheart, I had this big, beautiful speech prepared but as soon as I stepped in this room, all I can see, all I think of is you. You remember what I told you last night? I want that, I want you and I want us. Every night when I go to sleep I want to feel you in my arms and know that I’m right where I’m supposed to be and then in the early morning, I want to be woken up by our kids jumping on us demanding breakfast. I’m so grateful for you every second. I’m grateful that somehow in this crazy universe with infinite possibilities, I met you.”
You were clearly sobbing and through the tears you said, “Yay, comic con!”
He chuckled and continued, “In you I have found the love that I never knew I needed. You're my favourite human in the whole universe. There are many ways to be happy but all I need is you. So Y/N Y/L/N, make me the happiest person in the world and say yes, please?”
“Of course, yes! I will marry you, Jensen Ross Ackles!” You said and he grinned before putting the ring on your finger. He stood up and immediately pulled you for a kiss. It was enchanting and precious.
“I missed you, fuck…” he breathed in with his nose buried in the crook of your neck before moving his mouth to the south. You gasped, pulling your lip in between your teeth to stop the moan that was threatening to leave you as his lips found the sweet spot on your neck.
“Jay…we can't–”
“Why?” He asked.
“Everyone is present downstairs. I don't trust myself to not make a noise.” You said.
“I just need to feel you. Please,” he panted as he bucked his hips and his bulge grazed past your thighs. A whimper escaped your lips and you knew it would be impossible to not make a noise if Jensen carried on with his actions. But as much as he needed you, you needed him as well. It had been too damn long. So you reached out, roughly trying to get him out of his pants.
He smirked, raising a brow. “We got ten minutes. I need you inside me, now.”
“Yes, ma'am.” He pushed you down on the bed behind you, hiking up your skirt and discarding your panties, before shoving down his pants along with his boxers. He wrapped his palm around his cock, giving it a few strokes before aligning himself with your entrance. His swollen tip nudged at your wet pussy. “Fuck, sweetheart, you're fuckin’ wet.”
“You have been away for way too long!” You said, followed by a hiss as he pushed himself inside you at a tantalising pace. Your lips fell open to form an ‘O’ as he remained seated inside you, filling you to the brim. He started to move, pulling out to the tip before pushing himself in again, the move making you moan. Once he found his rhythm, he continued to thrust into you and you bucked your hips to match with his moves. His hand moved to rub at your clit and you cried out in utmost pleasure. Even after months of being apart, he knew how to get you going. Deliriously you both chased down your release. His thrusts had become more rough and small groans left his lips, filling the room.
He pressed his thumb against the bundle of nerves on your pussy and you were really close to your climax. His thrusts became erratic and a knot formed in the pit of your stomach.
“Jay–” your moan was ungraciously cut off by a knock on your door. Your eyes widened in shock and the same surprise was clearly evident on Jensen's face.
“Fuck–” he groaned, his pace faltering a bit but he kept circling his hips to not lose his rhythm. “Answer.”
“What?” You whispered but the look on his face sent a shiver down your back. The thrill of almost getting caught was such a turn on for him. As you opened your mouth to answer to whoever was on the other end of the door, he picked up his pace. Asshole.
You suppressed a moan and asked, “What is it?”
“Is Jensen stayin’ for dinner?” It was your sister who asked the question.
“Y-yeah–” you bit into your lip “--yeah he is.”
“Come for me. I need you to come for me.” You were so close and with another deep thrust, your coil finally snapped as a wave of sheer ecstasy washed over you. The scream that almost left your lips was swallowed by Jensen as he kissed you hard. He continued to fuck you through you release, his thrust never faltering s he closed on to his own climax. A few more thrusts and he spilled into you, coating your walls with his seed and growling when he came. He slowly stopped his thrusts, lazily circling his hips, until he went soft inside you.
“Holy shit!” He chuckled, and pulled out of you. You whimpered at the loss of him.
“Holy shit, indeed.” You panted and kissed the crown of your head softly and towards the bathroom to clean himself up. When you finally found your strength to walk, you followed his lead and went to the bathroom.
“I was gonna bring you a washcloth.” He said and you ruffled his hair, knowing how much he loved washing you and cuddling with you after sex.
“Well thank you for being a gentleman but we need to go downstairs as soon as possible.” You said before stepping in front of him to clean yourself.
It was a little over ten minutes after your sister called you for dinner, that you and Jensen went downstairs. He had cleaned up, changed into a much more comfortable sweatpants and tshirt and brushed his sex hair but the post coitus bliss on both your face was clearly visible and it got a raised brow from your sister. If the others had taken notice, they refrained from saying anything which soon turned into a huge ruckus of congratulations when you announced your engagement.
Later that night, you and Jensen were lying on the couch with your sister sitting in the chair as you three watched a movie when she said, “I can't keep covering for your asses.”
“What do you mean?”
“You guys were so not quiet. Thankfully, I turned up the music!” Your mouth fell open and a heat of embarrassment crept up your neck while Jensen just laughed.
“Can't help it when my fiancée is so hot.” Jensen said.
“Ew. Jensen, that's my sister, you're talking about.” She scrunched up her nose in disgust, “You guys are insufferable! I'm going to bed. Don't you dare christen the couch with your nonsense!”
“Can't make any promises!” You and Jensen yelled back together and when your sister gagged, you both laughed loudly and continued to watch the movie.
The end credits rolled in. You sighed, letting your head rest against his chest. He kissed your head, whispering, “I love you.”

Jensen had already been away for so long now. He'd left during the start of winter here in Vancouver. Starting getting ready to film his new star show. "The Boys" is something that honestly both of us were scared of at first.
But eventually, everything fell right back into place. No longer the big hotshot in his own tv show. Jensen took the back seat enjoying the fact that he didn't really have to do much of anything. Besides, call me every night, and grow his hair out. Something that I'd never seen. Besides photos, his mother was more than welcome to share them with me. His hair grew so long that it was starting to become a new thing that fans were falling in love with.
Honestly, I could see why. It framed his face better and made him look even more handsome. every night we'd chat until I fell asleep I missed him dearly. Every night I dreamed of just him being home and in my arms again and my hands dragging through that beautiful dirty blonde hair.
My surprise came home to me last night. A large boutique of flowers. A handwritten note from him.
"I'll be home soon enough my dear, I can't wait to be there. XOXO." A simple note as ever he made words as simple as those become much more than they ever meant.
I sat down the note and fruit basket along with the flower meant Jensen wasn't too far from home. I clicked through the tv, selecting a cheesy romantic comedy to fall asleep to. I let the plotline and crappy lines take me away and into my dreams.
Where all I imagined was the love of life in my arms that pine wood scent in the air. The warm after-effect he left when he'd get up to get something from the kitchen.
It was always like magic when I'd dream about Jensen and I'd wake to kisses from him, or his hands detangling my messy bedhead. I awake to the man I loved kneeling in front of me. A heartwarming smile I was greeted with sent butterflies into my stomach.
"Hellow sweetheart." He said to me with a kiss on my forehead. "Baby, you're home!" I said excitedly. "Your hair!" That was my next comment. He laughed softly.
Grabbing the blanket on the edge of the couch. He laid down, his head falling into my lap. "I missed you Y/n," Jensen said as he softly hummed. I smiled down at him, his fluttering eyes, and long eyelashes. "Would you run your fingers through my hair?" He asked.
My smile widen and I couldn't help but fall more in love with him. His child-like features beaming through. Freckles that burnt through his skin. "Of course baby," I said. Guiding my hand past his jaw, up to his cheek, and into his hairline.
Silk was what his hair felt like. Perfection in all the best ways. He sighed in delight. The small wrinkle lines on his forehead released and his rheumatic breathing came forth. He fell asleep as I guided my fingers through his hair over and over again. Not bothered by the silence of our apartment. Or by the heat that was radiating off the both of us.
I just lived in the moment, and for once it was all worth it. Worth it just to have my Jensen in my arms, just to be able to do the simplest thing for him by just gliding my fingers through his hair.
