No one would love to see Jensen as Indiana Jones more than me but I thought the part had already been offered to Chris Pratt?

With the way the media is hyping him up, I’m sure you’re not the only one to assume this. No, the role has not been offered to anyone yet. All of the articles aboutthis that cite a ‘source’ use this article,in which the writer states only that, “Disney has just started to turn itsattention toreviving the Indiana Jones franchise after buying the rights from Paramount in2013. I’m cautioned that while thingsare very early, I hear the studio has setits sights onChris Pratt as the swashbuckling archaeologist they hope to build the newfranchise around…” Nothing about the film is set in stone at this point:no script, no cast, nothing.

As much as I wish theywould just leave classics like ‘Indiana Jones’ untouched, they probably won’t andthis film will most likely happen. So if it has to happen then they might as well havethe best man for the job. I’m not against Chris getting the role; I just think Jensen suits it better and could make so much more out of it.

We can (and if we feel like it, should) campaign for this all we want but that still means the studio has to consider him, he’d have to go through the proper channels and then consider it if the studio offered him the role, and it would all depend on his personal and professional commitments.

These are MASSIVE shoes for anyone to fill. Yes, Jensen would beunder very intense scrutiny if he got this role. And yes, he wouldexperience a level of fame unlike anything he has experienced to date. But he’s a grown man and he can make these kinds of decisions for himself and handle thechanges as they come. So let’s make some noise and try to help Jensen Ackles get on Disney's radar!

There have been some serious rumblings about an ‘Indiana Jones’ reboot lately (is nothing sacred?). If Disney is really going to do this, who better to take up the iconic mantel than Jensen Ackles?! He:

is an incredibly talented actor (both in comedy and drama),

has got the ruggedly handsome good looks and physicality for the part.

has said himself that this is his dream role!

And honestly, who else can sell that cocky, devil-may-care attitude the way he does without sliding toward arrogance?
