#Jentique #Furniture #mcm #credenza from 1961 in #tola and #rosewood available now at #danishmodernsandiego Jentique Furniture was founded in the 1930s by toymaker and designer Geoffrey Bowman Jenkins and his wife Edith. In 1932, Jenkins designed a water driven hydraulic toothbrush, the "KAVOR", which never found its market. Jenkins did find success with a well-manufactured gramaphone. The gramoophone led him to his interest in building furniture and starting Jentique. In 1936, Jenkins lost his business to partner Bernard Smart, who was the maker of Metamec Clocks. Jentique became well-known for their Danish Modern influenced designs in teak, tola, and walnut throughout the 1950s and 1960s. During the 1960s and 1970s Jentique produced a line of furniture in figured ash to compete with Ercol's popular beech and elm wood furniture. Contact us for purchase and delivery info.
