You’re tempted to curse him out in all languages you know enough to do so. Someone has just asked you a question and you want to slap yourself for how dumb your answer sounded, but more importantly, you don’t even remember what the question was barely a minute later when you dig your fork into the food in front of you.
People are chatting, food smells delicious. You try to disguise the moan that rips out with how good it tastes as you quickly put some in your mouth to busy yourself. You hope that nobody noticed. You think they didn’t. Everyone is talking to someone. But you still hide behind your hair so that they can’t see your face as you pretend that the food is the only thing you’re focused on.
“The cake is really heavenly, you should try some” sounds out next to you. You notice that your plate is already empty and Jeonghan takes it from you, putting on something that does, in fact, look like heaven. You exhale with relief, seeing that both of his hands are busy for that moment.
But then they reach out to his pocket and you don’t have to see the remote to tense up.
The vibrations rip through you so hard at that moment that you can’t hold back a whimper and his hand is instantly in your hair, tilting your head to him in what to anyone else would look like a display of affection. The slight sting in your scalp, however, says otherwise.
“Stay quiet, angel” he murmurs against your ear. There is threat in his voice and an innocent smile on his lips. “I don’t want them to hear how much you like being ruined.”
The vibrations cease just a little, just enough to let you compose yourself. Someone regards you with a questioning glance and you reply with a smile. But the way you dig your fork into the cake is laced with all the frustration that’s gathered in you at this point. The cake falls apart from your ministrations.
At least it’s tasty enough to comfort you when the vibrations pick up again.
