Did k'areshi get wrinkly with age or was it just the chitin?

They got a little wrinkly but not as pronounced as humans. Their skin was much thicker than humans and is naturally resistant to UV damage. Their scales also absorb UV rays.

The doctor's words hit her like a freight, knocking the breath from her lungs. An explosion? A coma? Her mind struggles to catch up with the information, the reality of it sinking in slowly. She feels a cold chill wash over her, spreading from her chest to the tips of her fingers and toes. "I…I don't."

Hello! Excuse the dust, but this is Calliope, he's about 5 months old. I'd be pretty confident he's a solid blue, except for what looks like very faint darker rings on his tail and maybe some ticked or mackerel-like patterning on his sides (if that isn't just the velvety 'silver lining' i've noticed all gray shorthairs seem to have.) Any thoughts on whether he's solid or just a really low-contrast tabby? Thank you!

Blue

The faint rings on his tail and the pattern you can see are called a ghost pattern. Most solid cats have them to some degree, and red cats will always have them. Even low-contrast blue tabbies have a distinct cream or white mask around their eyes and a similarly colored muzzle, which is the best way to tell them apart from solid cats with a ghost pattern.
