"The Seashore's Finest"
Central Railroad of New Jersey G3s No. 832 leads train No. 4203, the Southbound Blue Comet, through the Bear Swamp Brook area to Atlantic City and other stops along the way. Due to the effects of the Great Depression as well as increased competition with the Pennsylvania Railroad and Reading Company's Pennsylvania-Reading Seashore Lines, the train would make its final run on September 27th, 1941. Despite this, passengers can still travel by train between Jersey City and Atlantic City via PATH, Amtrak, and NJ Transit. No. 832 on the other hand would continue to serve the CNJ until it was retired and scrapped between 1954 and 1955 alongside the other G class Pacifics with none making it into preservation.
